I feel sorry for Pironkova but I've no doubt Jo was in distress and Pironkova being an asthmatic should surely understand if you can't breathe, you will collapse.

There seems to be quite a number of withdrawals during this tournament and they can't all be faking it.

Kerber doesn't seem to be having any trouble with the humidity. She's like a well oiled machine.

The huge boxes of warm popcorn are nice just inside the tunnel on Armstrong. Gael is 30 tomorrow.

Andy is playing a day match. That is surprising. Hope it's not too humid for him. Although he's used to it training in Miami.

Those 2 big security guys in the blue t-shirts remind me of Hale and Pace.

I can't fathom the scoreboard on the US site. Might be pretty but useless.

The lines people look like they are auditioning for NYPD.

You can't surely expect Andy to play at night on Ashe every round there's a night match.

Djokovic and Nadal both played a day match the day in the heat and humidity before Andy played Rosol New York time.

Kuznetsova was 4-0 up when I tuned into her match. Kerber was 4-1 up in the second set when I tuned into her match. Since then she has lost 4 games although it is now 5 all.

Raonic doesn't seem to be moving well, hope he's not injured.

Kerber getting tight and dozing off, but sees off the erratic MLB in the tie-break.

This tournament's getting a bit Darwinian.

That was what I WAS watching on ES2, they tell you to switch to ES1 and they are f****** talking in the studio again rather than showing the f****** tennis.

Milos is in Rafa's part of the draw, right? Makes it easier if Milos isn't there....

And the end of the 3rd set is missed. Well done Eurosport. And it's Andrew Castle commentating.

Milos had his wrist looked at earlier. He now has cramp and is movingly slowly.
He may be able to work through it but two sets is a big ask.
I think Isner had cramp in his match. Everybody looks fried.

Is the AusOpen this bad?

eta: Milos is broken. Not sure he can come back from this.
