Admittedly the last sentence is probably accurate ![]() Like when in the mens it was Kei and Cilic and was barely 75% full..... ![]() When is Sir Delpo entering the fray>???? |

It will be interesting to see how Serena plays against the better players. Althouggh she won comfortably, she seems to ffeel under pressure.

I was surprised to see Kyrgios pair up with Evans - they must know each other from using the same marijuana dealer... |

Visually, Del Potro standing next to almost anyone is usually hilarious to me. Actually thought he was even taller than 6ft 6. Made Steve Johnson look like one of the ball boys.

Jason Goodall, a minor player at best, is a pundit on the US panel after matches. He has done OK for himself.

Zverev the younger seems to have a sense of entitlement around him. More than once he's had a strop in this match. Diminutive Dan is doing great - just has to keep his cool and he can throw Zverev's dummy back into his mouth.

Dan played brilliantly. He is Mr Perpetual Motion. I can see why he and Nick teamed up in doubles.

The statisticians will be pouring over the history books to find out the last time 3 British men got to the 3rd round of a slam. E.T.A It wasn't that long ago ![]() Wimbledon 2015 - Ward, Bedene and Murray made it through to the 3rd round.

Watch and learn Jacobbabe ![]() Shame Naomi didn't take a set off Aga, she really had chances. Unfortunately didn't have the nerve to go for her returns on the crucial points in the TB, but she gave a decent account of herself. Quote:
Granollers is very steady, good ground strokes, doesn't miss much. Bit like Simon.

Goerges is stunning, naturally beautiful.

They really are. Brad Gilbert is toe-curling both on and offline with his goofy nicknames for players.Quote:
Got a good laugh out of all of this Broady lovin'. Konta has competition.
![]() ![]() ![]() Also, slightly odd question, but what d'yall make of Timea Babos? I've only ever watched the singles matches that she's lost and been utterly steamrolled so I'm a bit bemused at how high her ranking is. What's her game like nowadays? I'd say the Swiss Timea is a bit more distinctive. ![]() Quote:
Brit Alert - Colin Fleming gets brought into the doubles with Fyrstenberg due to a withdrawal.
Brat Alert - Kyrgios match about to start ![]() Quote:

Dan played great from what I could see - only saw the last set and a half. Very nice gameplan to use variety, engage Zverev at the net. Slicing to the less fierce Zverev FH then launching a FH DTL worked a treat. Think he's on the verge of the top 50 now! Stan next round. |

Not surprised to see Stosur out. She could have given Serena trouble but not to be.
Ferrer has one of his better wins this year against the Italian Stallion. |

So pleased to see Delpo beat Johnson ![]() I really enjoyed watching Osaka at the French, I think she's definitely one to watch for the future. She could've taken out Halep if she'd have held her nerve. Also interested to see how Anderson, Cici Bellis, Harrison, Edmund & Konta proceed. Kevin Anderson has been especially quiet this year... |

I've been reading the last couple of pages this morning and the effusions about Naomi Broady have amused me greatly 'Queen of the North' was particularly good. I'm not really a fan of Broady beyond thinking its nice when a British player does well. It's more a passing interest.
I'm happy Radwanska won, though I don't think she will go much further. My dream is that she beats Serena and wins the title. (I am laughing as I type that despite my love of Aga). |
