Konta must surely have her eyes on a SF spot now?

Just what the doctor ordered for Konta, routining a very flat and almost disinterested Belinda.

Sevastova up next, could be tricky she's got a bit more variety about her and is obviously in form.

Osaka will need to see a sports psychologist after this match.

Keys takes it. Osaka threw that away, maybe just another sign that she's just not ready for the big leagues, right now. I still think she has something though. Borrow Jo's mental coach.

Lordy, that was some choke from Osaka, but obviously she is only 18, hopefully she'll learn how to handle these situations better.

Konta has a great shot of possibly winning a GS in her lifetime.

Her chances, and British womens hopes in general heavily depend on WHEN Serena retires. If and when she does her chances improve tenfold.

But if Serena continue's for another 5+ years into her 40s, then that's not good.

Madison should've won it in straights tbh. She was 4-4 and 40-0 in the second set.

Jo could beat Serena now if she plays at her very best and holds it together mentally.

She's Japanese-Haitian actually. Plays under the Japanese flag, although she's essentially grown up as an American in Florida and always requests her interviews in English due to having a passable at best command of her birth language.

She has dual American & Japanese citizenship. Hard luck Ryan. Your family are all still proud of you.

The HD picture quality is poor on ES.

How come Djoko has earned over $100 million in prize money and Roger and Rafa haven't?

Oh gawd Mac in the commentary box.

The crazy inflation of tournament prize money, coinciding with the peak Novak years.

Helps he lives in Monte Carlo!

Must say I'm surprised at that tbh.

I'm surprised Roger or Serena aren't well over $100 million by now after all the years they've been playing.

The cost of living in Monte Carlo is enormous. I was there last year and was shocked with the prices of everything. Of course living in a tax haven doesn't affect the amount of prize money he wins.

You'd think he would want to pay his taxes in Serbia since he loves it so much.

And a lot of walking, unless you hop on the tourist noddy train.

I didn't see that when I was there. Lucky it's not that big to walk around.

Looks like Djoko is going to have another WO. How jammy is he getting all these injured players.

If this carries on Djoko will get to the final playing only 1 full match.

I remember looking in an estate agents window when we were in Monaco and there was a flat at 42 million Euros.

Supermarket was ok though as it was standard Carrefour prices without the tax added so worked out cheaper than buying in France.

It departs from up the hill where the museums and Prince's Palace is. I missed it and it's a blumming mission up and down that hill! Watching the changing of the guard was worth it though.
