Brilliant performance from Jamie and Bruno to take out the French defending champions and number one seeds.

The only thing I can think as to why the women's SFs are both on a night session is due to the roof. They know 100% that they will complete them both. Whereas is years gone by they put them on in the afternoon, but if the weather was bad they could use the night session to finish them.

The roof negates all the weather problems.

I am probably completely wrong though.

I bet it feels good to get their revenge after losing to the same opponents in the final last year

Wow Coco was lucky to not get DQ'ed for essentially throwing her racquet at Caroline Garcia.

And to think someone pulled me up on here because I had a go at Coco for being a spoilt brat. Nothing has changed clearly, what a horrible individual...

Serena v Vinci was a Friday evening match (UK time), I think.

They must do, this is the first time since 2011 that the ladies semi's are night matches iirc.

Has it been announced what time the women's final is on Saturday? Hoping it's a day match.

9pm Eurosport I think. Same for the Men's final.

Surely Serena should have been the second match? They are obviously assuming the American viewers are gonna switch off once Serena's match is over.

C'mon Pliskova, it's only Serena. You can do it.

I dont think it will be a day match as the weather will be so and hot and humid. Also the players would love to play at night, so they would take that into consideration

Also the organisers would want to make sure Serena has got the best chance of beating Steffi Grafs Grand Slam record

And they would love to see her break the record at the US Open, especially at her home Grand Slam

According to TV Choice magazine, it has both singles finals scheduled for evening time (UK time).

Serena has to get to the final first.

Good grief, if this ends up as a Pliskobot v Wozniacki final I won't be watching.

Wow from Pliskova, I knew she would start well but thought the first set would have been really tight 7-5 or tie break
