Laura is about to lose in another 3 set, 2 hour+ match against someone called Chanel from South Africa in an ITF tourney.

She really needs someone to sort out her head, I think, if it's the loss of confidence that's affecting her game so much.

15 double faults from Laura. She can't give away that many free points and have a career.

I will. STarts 0130 in Norway I think?
Or maybe 0200. Hm. 0100. Not too bad

It seems that swimming is starting at 0300 Norway time?
Can that be correct?

Do you think so? I don't find her big headed at all, she has a confidence that I find refreshing. When she is questioned about things, there is no false modesty, just confidence in herself and her game.

lol, I love that. He might withdraw, he's not going to be playing his best in any event, so he plays them all. He's probably expecting to lose early, hopefully one event will last more than 2 rounds. And we get Rafa/Garbine!

Aga's #roadtoRio is via NY and Portugal.

This is ridiculous!

I've not really seen anything to suggest that she is big headed personally. She is incredibly confident though which isn't a bad thing imo.

Yep the difference is 4hrs for us and 5hrs for you.

Loads of players playing in the Roger's Cup in Montreal got stuck due to delayed flights and missed their follow on connections and because Rio is a popular destination for obvious Olympic reasons, it's been a nightmare of Amazing Race proportions trying to get there on time for registration.

Gavrilova and Kerber managed to get a flight to Rio from NYC. Others made it via Newark. Vesnina and Makarova got a flight from Miami. Errani and Vinci managed to get flights from Houston. Aga must've missed all the last seats going direct to end up in that mess of crossing the Atlantic twice!

Think I never heard of swimming starting at 2200 before, but read somewjere else it was at least partially to please US audience...

Feel a bit sorry for Aga. Hope she can be rewarded with a medal at least. Is she playing doubles with her sister?

A lot of players are worth a shit load of money. Why didn't they hire a private jet between them?

Nice to see Jankovic play her couple of matches in Florianópolis and then get the hell out of there Naomi Osaka in the QF's too, perhaps an outside chance of getting her first title? Speaking of Osaka, anyone know why she didn't play Wimbledon? She was certainly ranked high enough, and I couldn't find any info on injuries.

I think they have to travel as a team with their fellow countrymen and women from all sports. Rafa arrived with the Spanish team. Andys warmup with Djoko looks pretty competitive.

Apart from the tennis, what else is everyone interested in watching at the Olympics? I'll be interested in the gymnastics, hope GB can get a few medals, and the diving is usually worth watching.

For me it's swimming, cycling, gymnastics, I've never been mad about athletics in general, but I'm into long and high jump. Besides tennis my other love is horse riding, so i'm very excited for all of the equestrian events. I used to ride myself but I had a bad accident. I can say from personal experience that the phrase, 'if you fall off the horse get back on' is total bullsh*t. I still love horses though.

Athletics, swimming, cycling, gymnastics. I'm not fussy, I'll be gorging on as much as possible.
