The previous time they did that was 1930.

Bar Delpo getting very tired or injured I just don't see it's possible this weekend.

That's what big brothers are for - well done, Jamie!

This could end up a 3-0 whitewash.

You've got to hand it to the Argentinians - they haven't been deflected by the crowd, getting the majority of the dodgy calls/decisions or anything else. And although Delpo hasn't played as much as Andy season-long, his recent run is pretty similar so his endurance is very impressive.

Andy looks dreadful. I bet he wishes this weekend was over already.

So can Kyle become a hero tomorrow?

He looks ashen, doesn't he? I don't think they can win but glad at least the Scottish audience got something to cheer about in Glasgow. It would have been grim to go down 3:0.

I think it will be Evo tomorrow who could frustrate the hell out of Delpo giving him no pace.

Whats Andy's schedule for the rest of the season? I assume its:

China Open
Shanghai Masters
Vienna Open
Paris Masters
World Tour Finals

I know a lot of pundits are optimistic he can get to number 1, but he'll need to win at least 4(probably all 5) of those tournaments to have a chance.

I doubt many seriously think he can get to #1.

Personally, I'd like him to just play Shanghai and London and be done with it.

I know but that was the topic of conversation going into the USO, since his QF exit its died down somewhat, but it would be realistic goal for him heading into 2017, particularly if he can finish the season well here, Novak's got a shitload to defend in the first half of 2017 too.

Most of the #1 chat was giving him up to and including Miami, as he's defending a lot less points than Djokovic. It would have helped a lot if Andy had gone further at the US Open, and if he'd won it, he'd have been within spitting distance of the Race #1, but would still have relied on him stringing together a lot of wins in a row after a lot of wins in a row.

The biggest problem is that Murray has always run out of steam if he goes deep at too many tournaments in a row, while Djokovic normally seems to be fresh week after week. That looked like it might be changing, but he still made it to the finals of the US Open, admittedly with the help of a WO and a couple of retirements. Now he'll have a bit of a break, so it may well be back to business as usual for him during the Asian swing.

In terms of ranking, it will be in Andy's best interests if Argentina win this tie, so he can focus on the points-rich WTF. With Jamie qualified for it too, he'd benefit too.

Get you a Captain that can do both! Conchita Martinez has guided Spain back to the World Group in both Fed Cup and Davis Cup in the same year.

Freya Christie is into her 2nd $25,000 ITF final (she lost the previous one to Oceane Dodin). Tomorrow she takes on Viktoria Kuzmova.

Aljaz Bedene lost his ATP Challenger semi-final in Bosnia.

There was some people from England and Wales and possibly Northern Ireland even people from Argentina.

Dan would be the smart choice but can't see either him or Kyle beating Delpo. Delpo has indicated via an interview that he might not play tomorrow but I suspect it's a mix up due to English not being his first language. He certainly looks 'fresher' than Andy.

I'm well aware, but the crowd was predominantly Scottish and fittingly so playing in Scotland after all the Murray family have contributed to GB tennis. I wasn't being snide - I would think it would be special for the Murray brothers (and Leon Smith) to have the GB team playing 'at home' and would have been sad if there wasn't at least one victory to cheer on such an occasion.

What was the reason why Del Potro played in the Doubles as i would have thought the captain would save him for the singles

Now he could be tired after playing two days running, while Kyle and Dan are fresh

They wanted the chance to close it out in the doubles - otherwise the were relying on the final rubber. Unlikely Delpo would lose the last match but you never know.

Looks like Croatia are favourites to win the other semi after their surprise win over Mahut and Herbert - so if by some miracle we do win today the final may well be at home.

BBC are reporting that if tie goes to the fifth rubber Del Potro won't play. Del Potro apparently said he needs to protect his body and the BBC seems to believe him

Interesting twist for the selections if true with Argentina unable to make any switch for the Murray game and Delbonis playing.

I am still not convinced Murray can win the fourth match as he looked exhausted yesterday and would not rule out Evans playing instead.

I think the Beeb and other media are just over-hyping a fairly throw away remark from Delpo yesterday afternoon at the press con. I'd be amazed if he didn't play, if it's the decider. Equally, whatever may the the sensible option (and I shudder to imagine what Lendl thinks about all this), I think they'd have to chain Murray down to stop him playing.

Why does murray have to play 3 games ? Is there no faith in the other team players ?? What must they be thinking ??? If the Scottish trio of Leon/ Murray /Murray are taking all the plaudits and saying we are Davis cup team GB then what's the point of the others turning up ?? If I was on that team IDE tell them straight , murrays who do they think they are ???? Are we supposed to be great full that we are benched so Scotland have a love inn with the brothers dressed in there native flag !!! Yeah it's pretty obvious the colours - let's see some other team members get a game , it ain't the Murray cup it's the Davis cup not Murray cup

Why are you blaming the Murrays? It's not their fault Leon Smith keeps picking them for every match. They would make themselves available but it's his decision at the end of the day.
