Oh good, thats slightly more positive, I hate to see her look like she wondered on court by mistake.

I tried to find a way to watch it but had no joy. Eurosport weren't showing it, at least not on TV. Sounds like you will just end up with a new box, I assume they have spares with them just in case?

I'm thinking of switching to Sky from Virgin, as a new customer i'll get more for the money I think. Plus I desperately want Sky Atlantic, and ITV Encore so I can watch endless repeats of Poirot and Sherlock Holmes.
You should have joined Sky last month. You would have got Sky Q plus Sky mini box and Sky Box office package for £16.30 a month. It may still be available through Carphone Warehouse.

Lol no she wasn't that bad!

Eurosport usually skip the early rounds, because of course they can't bear to part with the snooker and motorbikes for a few hours. ES2 is showing some Linz action at 7pm and tomorrow they start from 1pm.

Yeah the call out covers a replacement if they can't fix it. It's had a good innings, had this box since Sky+HD was first introduced.

Virgin isn't available here, so it's basically Sky or bust. Sky Atlantic is great for all the HBO goodies.
I don't mind too much when they are showing another live sport. But I get so annoyed when they start showing races from the 90's instead of the sport they have the rights to.

I'm looking forward to (hopefully) seeing Garbine win tomorrow. Rafa is considering shutting his season down, and doing a training block for next year. I think he should but I doubt he will.

Yep its Game of Thrones I want, I have been renting the dvd's from Lovefilm, until this year when I got fed up of waiting and just bought the episodes every week. Its not ideal.

That's always the way isn't it? What a great deal, I just checked the website and it looks like they aren't doing it anymore. I'll keep my eyes open, i'm sure another special offer will come around.

Yep! Somebody shouted from the crowd to "respect the court" because he was quite blatantly tanking the match and Nick decided he'd have a go at the heckler. The umpire kept telling him to stop but he continued prattling on.

Here was me thinking we were about to see a more determined Kyrgios next year after winning a big tournament but it was back to Nick we all know and love or hate
It's such a shame, and I think goes to show why he really would benefit from having the right coach. He was incredibly disrespectful during the match, and in the immediate aftermath, but has shown some contrition since. I feel sorry for him, and I think he needs some help, but I also think the ATP needs to fine him. I'm not sure how it ties in with his 'prize money', but he needs a strong message that he can't profit from wasting everyone's time. I see that some Australian bookies refunded their customers who bet on him, so the repercussions extend beyond whether or not he personally gets extra ATP points.

In other troubled player news - there's a rumour that Sharapova is planning to sue the ITF. I've no idea if this is serious, or just part of the PR move to control the narrative. I know I'm a bit late on this, but I agree with those who thought it was too soon for her to be appearing in the WTT event. It would have been much more respectful to wait until next year, or at the very least given it a month or so after the hearing. The way it unfolded, they must have had this planned in advance. I'm sure it was good for their coverage, but regardless of what they thought of the details of this ruling, it was a very dangerous precedent.

I was a bit shocked about Nadal losing, but he had a tricky first round match, and in winning the Beijing doubles, he had to adjust to different conditions in a short space of time.

Personally don't think any coach will make a difference, it's clear he doesn't care about tennis (it pays the bills nothing more) and quickly gets bored with the game, once you start getting bored doing something no amount of motivation is going to pick you up.

Won't you miss BT Sport if you switch from Virgin? I know I would.

Another wee brat having a major tantrum on court - Alexander Zverev absolutely demolishing his racket. First smashing it at the back of the baseline then continued to wreck it when he got to his seat.

Not quite. According to the Live Tennis app, even if Cibulkova wins later on today she wont improve her score, why this is I have no idea so she would still be 10 points behind Konta even with a win today and a loss tomorrow. Then depends on what happens next week.

EDIT - ah, her score wont improve because only the best 16 scores count.

Yeah I noticed Cibulkova's score wouldn't improve. I can't see her losing to Beck today.

It won't be on the CPW website. You have to call them or go into a CPW store and ask them what the Sky deals are. You can get BT Sports on Sky also.

If my maths is correct, if she gets through to the semi final in Linz she will TIE with Konta, I havent a clue what the tiebreak procedures are though.

Nor do I know what she would need to do next week in order to improve her score further anyway. That would be moot should she reach the final this week, I guess.

Am I right in saying Konta is down as an alternative for Singapore (assuming she doesn't make the top 8)? I think that's what they said on BT Sport last week.

Maria has spoken out about her ban :

Interesting that she criticises the ITF. Plus the fact that she says her grandparents take Meldonium. Expect to see her granny on the seniors tour next year.

Yeah I thought it was too soon, this is a good write up about it. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/tennis/20...e-in-was-naus/ Although I can't blame the others for being all smiles throughout, what else could they do?

As much as i'm willing to move on when she comes back, I did not like this at all. I think acting like she has suffered some great injustice is not the right thing to do. It gives the impression that she is totally innocent in all this. Which even as a fan I don't agree with, she broke the rules and deserved punishment, trying so quickly to wipe the slate clean is a bit classless to be honest. I thought the original punishment was too severe and CAS agreed, and they criticised the ITF, but that doesn't erase the whole thing, Maria is acting like she has been exonerated.

Thanks for the tip I'll try calling them. I'm glad I will still get BT Sport, I couldn't do without my WTA.

BT Sports costs extra but I'm sure CPW can get you a good deal on that also. It's £8 a month extra for Sky Sports. Don't know how much extra BT Sports is.

She should be first alternate, yes. There is the event the week after in China she would qualify for instead if she doesnt make Singapore, so would have to go to the Far East regardless.

BT Sports is included with Virgin XL / Big Kahuna packages. And now we get Sky Sports Mix which has been showing a fair bit of ATP tennis this last couple of weeks.

Not so great news about Jo. Hopefully she'll be able to hang on for Singapore, but to be honest I would be thrilled to see Domi there also. She's had such an amazing year and her match against Radwanska is definitely my match of the year. So really, I don't mind.

According to the BBC, Cibulkova would need to make the final in Linz in order to overtake Konta http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/37641332

Some people are just ugly, sadly Nick is one of them. After seeing some snippets of his press conference will people finally wake up to the real Nick and force him to drift off into obscurity and out of our faces. We and sport do not need him.
I say obscurity but that will not happen, he will make sure of that. He is a media craver, a modern anything to grab publicity junky wishing to make money from press headlines and getting his face published. Well, thats a whole lot easier for him than being dedicated to his sport and respecting everything the game, players around him and those gone before stand for.

There are places for nick to get his publicity fix now he has been allowed to get even more press momentum, he is not needed or required on the tennis court.
