I've never seen Garbine look so pale. The super bright lighting makes her look ill.

The cutoff for accepting WCs for next week is tomorrow afternoon. Will be keeping a close eye to see if Jo or her close rivals are offered any and accept them.

I seem to recall an indoor hard court in Belgium that was bright purple. or am I imaging it? I remember Justine Henin playing in the final, it was on Eurosport.

That set was like christmas come early for me. Its good to see Gabs coming into the net so much.

Better to go on the attack, rather than get into a slicing and dicing battle. It's almost like hearing Singapore is a step closer has refocused Garbine.

Serena may not want to play. She seems sidetracked by a lot of other projects in her life these days. I think she just likes focusing on slams.

Like just happened? lol

I really hope it has, she likes to end the season on a positive note so a good result here and a half decent performance in Singapore will be good for next season.

Serena said after pulling out of the Asian swing that Singapore was her next target. It's basically free ranking points given she didn't play last year and there's still a sniff of finishing the year as #1.

I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't turn up.

Lovely job, just what we need a good confidence boost.

Well considering BT Sport said they wasn't covering any more WTA until Moscow next Wednesday, they're actually showing highlights at 2am of Watson v Wozniacki. And quarter final highlights are scheduled for tonight (Friday) at 10:30pm. Makes you wonder if they would have tried to fit in live coverage if our girls had progressed further in the tournament (like they did with showing Watson's final earlier in the year).

Karolina Pliskova is not playing in Moscow. Is her place likely to be offered to Keys or Konta (given Garbine has almost definitely qualified for Singapore)?

EDIT: Scrp what I just asked. Just read this:

Thus in the main draw of women's competition gets Shelby Rogers (USA).

Djokovic a break down against the world number 110...

Still expect him to win this match, though.

Djokovic broken again at the end of the first set to lose it! Still, I'm sure he will mount a comeback....

Judging from Carole's tweets, Novak is having a 'mare today.

He's playing better now. Maybe he's just as bored as Kyrgios is and is gifting his opponents a set head start?

I see Kerber lost, what was she doing in Hong Kong again? Have a rest woman.

Djoko breaks, is immediately broken back and then succumbs to a love service game from Zverev. Crikey.

Eurosport 2 have a full day's coverage from Linz starting at 1pm. Starting at the same time, Jankovic plays Cornet in Hong Kong on BT Sport 1. It's not very often you get two WTA tournaments on at the same time on UK TV.

Broady and Watson take the first set 6-2 against their Chinese opponents.

I do love when Andy has straight forward wins.

6-2 6-2 over Goffin.
