Also, anybody see this? The WTA are running their player of the year poll, and Serena has voted! Also, you've got to laugh at Halep's inclusion in the poll. I mean I know they needed five to make a top five, but still
At least Pliskova made a slam final! Heck even Konta made a slam SF! They should save all these polls until the season has actually finished.Oh wait, she won Madrid - https://goo.gl/images/uvzi6B |

What has Simona actually done this year?

That's it. In reality only Serena and Kerber have any business being in that poll and, like Serena, Kerber gets my vote. Nice to see Bautista-Agut get the win. I expect Djokovic to come roaring back back next year when he's had a bit of a rest. |

Keys has withdrawn. She said she'd not been well and sounded really croaky in her post-match interview yesterday.

I'll be a bit annoyed if Serena does play and blows them all away having had a break. Although in fairness it was part injury layoff so maybe that's not fair. |

Woz having a strong finish to the year, will be back up to #17 if the takes the title in Hong Kong. Playing Luxembourg next week and probably Zhuhai to finish the season.. heck she could actually finish close to the top ten again.

Has it been raining in Tianjin today? The semis and final are now both tomorrow.
Also, Broady and Watson have started their doubles semi final. Currently 3-0 to the Brits. |

The WTA is like the walking wounded at the mo. This is why I can't get too excited about Singapore, I understand its importance in the season, and I like seeing the top players against each other. But at the same time the matches aren't great. Same with the ATP, the WTF's have been pretty poor for a few years now. Roger's unfortunate withdrawal from the final was the lowest point.

Yeah everyone is usually on fumes by the time the YECs come around. I know I've ranted on about my disdain for them in the past, but last years Singapore wasn't so bad with Aga winning... I'm a hypocrite so sue me.
![]() I spoke to Sky today, they offered a good deal for 12 months, about £30 off what i'm currently paying. It would be £66 but BT Sport is an extra £19.99 a month which seems a bit pricey. I'm wondering about skipping BT Sport and looking into a Tennis TV sub instead. I know they don't show slams but does BT Sport show slams? Does anyone know if the 2 are comparable? The only real drawback is broadband. I currently have 200Mbps fibre, but i'll be dropping to 38Mbps if I change. That's a big difference but I'm not sure how much it will affect me day to day. I use the internet and stream all the time so i'm torn. |

I don't think that's too hypocritical. That's a meh tournament being slightly less meh. If Rafa won (i'm laughing at the thought) i'd still think the tournament was rubbish from a spectator standpoint. It would just be nice on his CV.

I use the internet and stream all the time so i'm torn. They have lots of coverage from early March to mid May - from Dubai to Rome with only Rotterdam in early Feb before then. Then nothing bar Hamburg from mid May to mid August. You then have Canada and Cinncy for two to three weeks but obviously no US coverage now. And then the final run in from China in mid October to the WTF in mid November although they do cover that Asian exhibition event in December sometimes. So time it right and you will save money. BT has no slams coverage although that could change post 2017 if they bid for the rights coming up. Eurosport has 3 of the slams now incl full US coverage plus Davis cup plus the UK grass court season and lots of the minor men's and women's events. Tennis tv is ok but it's pricey per month - they used to have a much cheap app subscription but dropped it. Of course it's tailored for international audiences and they do cover some of the more osbcure tournaments. And the challenger events are broadcast for free via livestream - a free way to see middle tier men's tennis every week. |

Andy has won in straight sets. I love him when he is on a mission. If he wins the final the gap will be less than 2,500 points. Still a lot but much less than earlier in the year. He clearly wants no 1.

If you just want Sky sports for tennis you really only need a 6 months a year subscription.

Lol stranger things have happened this year!
![]() Tennis TV is ditching the WTA as of January and changing all their pricing structure, because the WTA has that new 10yr beIN deal and is going to have their own separate platform. I don't know how people keep track of all this stuff lol. I need a big chart to keep up. So Tennis TV is def out, I will go with BT Sport for a while and see what happens with the WTA next year. If it's less than 20 quid I will use their new service, because its really the WTA that I want and it's harder to get consistent coverage. |

Spasibo Moscow. JJ v Ostabrat in R1, what a potentially beautiful car crash we have been blessed with.

Thanks for those listings MARTYM8, I was going to ask where i could find that info.
We're with Virgin {with SS as an add on} so dont have to give any notice, just need to remember to cancel straight after WTFs! If it saves 3-4 months, its def worth remembering. |
