Solid win for Kerber. If Cibulkova wins this one then Kerber would be confirmed as group winner and Keys would be eliminated.

Well forgetting the ball girl isn't the best start for Domi lol.

One track mind. At least she did remember and go back for her.

Well that went the opposite way. I thought Keys would probably lose tbh.

Kyle retires injured with what looks like a hip injury 3-2 down in the 1st set against David Ferrer. Realistically, that is probably the end of his season.
Yeah certainly seems that way.

All in all a good season of improvement for Kyle, chances are he won't be seeded for AO (barring a mass bout of withdrawls).

Hopefully he can continue his upward rankings climb in 2017 and doesn't suffer (m)any setbacks.

Watched a bit of Vienna after the group matches, jeepers the grey Euro was in even more effect than over in Linz.

Jamie came back from Vienna on a day trip to collect his OBE.

Aw, that is so lovely!

Also, Milos is having a major malfunction meltdown this second half of the year - goes out to Berankis again

Mac must've left some dodgy updates in the system.

Ok, now I can think in full sentences again, I fully agree with you.

It's frustrating because she has all the weapons and she is not afraid of the net like many other big hitters. This match proves to me that it is all mental.

She needs to have a word with Sumyk, his advice is legit terrible. 'You've got to see the ball and hit the ball' WTF? She shouldn't be having her coach on this often anyway, that alone shows her nerves.I will enjoy watching Aga/Pliskova immensely
She has been bloody awful this year, apart from the French Open. Whether the pressure of being the 'next big thing' has got to her or whether her coach is useless I don't know, but at this rate she isgoing the way of Bouchard....its not just the top ten who have beaten her, anyone in the top 100 is a threat ATM!! Time for a rest and re-think, methinks, garbi..b4 its too late.

Ivanovic went the same way after FO. Some players can't cope.

My body clock still thinks it's the Asian swing. Bit annoying...

The devil in me can't help but cackle at this mess. Some very talented people are already photoshopping all the selfies and group photos of the ceremony. Fair play to Sveta, the burden was all on her and she delivered. Konta could still get a match as alternate, but this might work to her advantage since Zhuhai is a much quicker court than the Singapore treacle.
Yeah, Zhuhai will be a better fit for our Jo. She would've gotten very hot and bothered facing Aga in Singapore.

Delpo wins in Stockholm. Didn't drop a set all week
Best news of the week for me. Delpo's FB is always worth a read because of the insta-translations from Spanish to English. The guy has such a deep connection with his fans

What is the qualifying for this Tie Break Tens? How the hell did Goran get in a tournament worth $250,000 to the winner?
Goran's fallen on hard times.

I know people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones given Evo's history of lazyitis, but I did have to laugh at his 'normal tennis' quip about Marcus Willis.
Evo is prob miffed that Willis got a lot more media attention around Wimby.

Absolutely. I don't blame her for just ignoring him. If some random stranger just walks up to someone and shoves a mic in their face rambling nonsense - best to just look the other way.
What if it isn't a mic?

Hacked off a proper chunk too! I remember Andy doing that in the ATP Finals last year.
Same. Andy only cut a few strays off though.

Tbh I cringe whenever I see Garbi at the net. Rarely positions herself well up there, and two handed stop volleys are the naffest thing in the universe.

It would be nice to have more women with proper volleying technique and not terrified of hitting a smash.

Hmm, Kyle should've withdrawn as soon as he saw Ferrer in his draw again.

Shame if he misses Paris, as he could do a lot of damage there.

Awesome for Jamie. Andy's knighthood is in the post though...

Berankis is underranked for me. He has a triffic BH.

Milos could be a walking bye at the WTF. We shall see...

Btw, for those who don't know, Gael will be at the WTF (injury permitting). Some compensation for Fed and Rafa missing out.

The world needs more Gael! Glad he's made it. Who is left to make up the numbers - Thiem, Goffin and Berdy?

Testy argument between AnneK and Nigel before the match.
He said women got more down on themselves than men during matches. She got all indignant and said they didn't, what about your son in law? He said you got down on yourself.
Quite amusing. She doesn't like being challenged.

On this argument she's got a point - Andy, Paire, Fognini, Troicki, Youzhny, etc. It's all down to temperament, not gender.

Agreed, and you didn't even mention the main culprit, the ATP is full of whining man-babies, it's just like the Internet.

Just phenomenal, she seemed to be running on fumes up to the semi in moscow, now it's just brilliant. Must admit the only thing keeping me interested in Singapore.

Oh yeah, Mr 8 week suspension. Forgot Novak as well given his weird behaviour this season. Even Fed had issues in the early days, some grow out of it, some don't.

Aga's looking very subdued today, Garbi's up for it which is good. I don't like my favourite's playing each other unless it's a final.

Can the umpire tell the crowd to stfu?

We knew that break was coming but Aga did step up to take that one.

Basically handed Aga the set there..

Good lord, Sumyk wants Garbine to out-drop shot Aga.

If that is the plan then I think we need to form a prayer circle Lisa!

This is like Sophie's Choice for me, if only they could've been in different groups.
