Same here, I just need to see some improvement from Garbine, even if she loses. She's getting angry today, which is better than panicked.

I swear, Aga's wizardry can bring out the inner ninja in people.

"If she lobs you 20 times I don't give a shit really"

Well you should, because Aga is the master at it.

Garbine out. Kuznetsova through to the Semis. All on the Aga-Pliskova match and given that Aga is 6-0 in the h2h and 12-0 in sets, Karobot may as well pack her bags now. Aga knows how to keep the ball low out of her wingspan, as Pliskova can't bend her knees and jerk her side to side. It's a low bounce court which helps even more in Aga's favour.

Even though Garbine doesn't look it sometimes on court, she does still care otherwise she wouldn't get so snippy with Sam's useless chat. I think a holiday is in order and maybe a coaching change in the off season.

I think she probably cares too much, which brings out her nerves. She still has to play one more match, hopefully with no pressure she will loosen up a bit. I will be surprised if we don't see a coach change. Unless off the court they get along like a house on fire. It's difficult to know. We only really see them in high pressure situations.

I'm throwing all my support behind Aga now, followed by Kerber.

I think you're probably right. The expectations she's wanting of herself now she's up there as a slam champ and when things aren't quite working in a match, it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy when she starts stressing out.

Adding a mental coach to the team wouldn't be a bad idea either!

Crazy to see Kuznetsova running on empty and still beating Radwanska and Pliskova, and that she could well finish the year in the top five. Repeating myself I know cause I've said it several times before, but when all her weapons are firing, Kuznetsova has by far the most appealing game on the WTA. I still want her to have won more big run at a slam before it's all over.

Terrific match between Domi and Simona.
Domi won in straight sets and has a chance of going through.

Oh no I missed it! I assumed they would be starting at 12.30 like they have the last 2 days. Oh well, pleased for Domi.

The running order was doubles, singles, singles, doubles.

I think Cilbulkova gets through if Kerber wins in straights? Can see it happening, all Kerber has to do is retrieve and wait for the Keys errors to flow.

Gawd, Keys is appalling to watch at times, such a waste of talent.

Also Cilic. Two out of the four will make it, barring a freak result in Paris. Or further withdrawals.

Cilic may not be all that keen to make it, given the DC final round the corner.

Iunno. Some girls are headcases to the extent that their coach literally has to hold their hand during OCC sessions, while they hysterically bawl their eyes out. Even if OCC was allowed on the ATP I highly doubt you'd see that...

The drama is cool in small doses. However, it shouldn't overshadow the actual tennis.

I seem to remember old Fed saying Sveta was his fave WTA player to watch. She has all the shots in her locker.

That's how it played out. Domi was the second best player in the group for me and deserved to progress.

Halep didn't really play her best and Keys hates these conditions. Slow and low, meaning she has to actually contruct points and move...very one-dimensional. Angie was reading her like a book and always had her fave FH DTL available.

Oh yeah, Domi called Pova out.

So Basel and Vienna are continuing. Currently Goff-Delpo the sequel is underway in Basel, Thiem-Troicki in Wien. Thiem still gets super tense in front of his home crowd.

Later on it's Muzza-Simon part 94. Bit worried because their last indoor meeting was won by Simon (Rotterdam).

Delpo: https://twitter.com/carole_bouchard/...73485800710146 - he has had his wc quota, so isn't getting one for the Paris Masters.

Murray battles through and beats another ranked 35 ? I think ? Next up someone ranked 27 ? At this rate he could be easily be number 1 without breaking a sweat ! He's winning and all power to him - but we're is the class ? Like watching a Mercedes win F1 every Sunday VERY VERY BORING !!!!!

why you say vamos?

Isner's - and perhaps every big hitter - heart must sink every time he is drawn against Andy. Andy leads 5-1, 1st set.

Wins set, 6-1 in 28 mins.

Lol no, over-exaggerating injury. Delpo responds by saying Haase only limps after holding his leg, he's a ghost of a person (which doesn't quite translate right) and then calling him a mother-f*****.
