Haha, was just wondering how to phrase that! That annoyance is misplaced imo.

Basically he wants it to become like the IPTL.”

If they want to speed up the matches, perhaps they could speed up conditions? Maybe not viable at joint ATP/WTA events, but there are no excuses at WTA only events. Faster balls, surfaces, lower bounces. I've always believed that women's tennis is at its best on medium/fast courts.

Clearly this is far too logical, and not remotely trendy. So let's ruin the sport with a new gimmick instead! Jeez

These execs are full of their own self importance. The players and the fans views don't matter a jot.

Liking Makarena. Fits well with Bucie and Santina. Not thought of one for Caro and Kiki? Frenchies will have to do for now.

Love how Andy alluded to this in the presentation as well.

Nole's last stand.

I think Novak (rested and focused) is a good bet to retain his Paris title.

If and when Andy does reach the No 1 spot I hope it's after winning AO. 5 times RU is pretty frustrating, so it'd be nice to have that monkey off his back.

Winning FO would be an unexpected bonus, even though has recently said that's something he would like for 2017.”

Nole is apparently playing without Boris and Vajda this week. Dunno what to make of that.

My gut tells me that Andy will lose to Nole down under again. Nole will come back refreshed after an offseason.

Who knows what to expect from Nadal on clay, or how Fed will fare on his comeback.

Don't shoot the messenger

Well, Kei had his shot against Cilic and was too tired to get it done. Now seems to have a mental block against him in finals.

Kei is made of glass, and this is the main reason why he doesn't occupy the top 4. He's also rather basic on grass. Mind you, so's Stan...but Stan can peak to win slams, Kei cannot. Kei's 2nd serve is too much of a weakness.

Speeding up all the treacle courts is my preference.

Graphs like this just make me sad.

Murray has little chance of winning in Paris , for starters he's in a tournament with other top 10 ranking players - there will be no easy ride in for the Scot On this venture , this tournament will not have the usual tin pot players he does like winning against the nobody's - fingers crossed Novak smashes him back to reality !

"Little chance of winning"? You really are absolutely clueless. One of the last three tournaments he has won was a Masters event with 7 of the current Top 10 present - exactly the same as Paris. Murray has also won a Masters event earlier in the year with NINE of the Top 10 at the time present.

Oh, and the little title he won in south west London in the summer had all the top 10 players except Nadal present...

The thing stopping Murray here is likely to be the fact he may be knackered, as well as the surface, yes it is a hard surface like the last 3 titles he has won but apparently the speed of it isnt to his usual liking. Nothing at all to do with the composition of the field as you can see above, he has won plenty of titles this year with everyone present.

Fingers crossed the Scot gets battered - he's killing tennis his game looks ugly and nobody tunes inn to watch that moody swearing ski boot wearing Scot - the sooner the new guard arrives the better

Here's a throwback to their ranting during the Davis Cup tie against Argentina.

Oh it's them again, yep ignore is the best way.

I just listened to the NCR podcast with Steve Simon, and I must admit I have come away wondering what his actual job is, or why he agreed to an interview when he obviously doesn't want to give any real detail. What is his vision for the WTA? I'm non the wiser.

Ben made some good points regarding quicker courts and the current match length being a non issue. Also I agree that they could change the WTA logo from pink/purple if they want to compete with both mens and women's sports.

So you don't find Djokovic moody then?

I know the weather isn't great in Scotland but in the 12 years i have been watcbing Murray, i have never seen him play in ski boots!!
Back in the grown up world, Djokovic in trouble in the doubles, a set down.

I totally disagree with you- Andy has a great chance to win Paris- Djokovic is more vulnerable now than he has ever been on the Tennis Court.

Sorry - they look like ski boots is Murray playing doubles ? It's a great sign Djokovic is fit and pumped up to consider playing more than just singles , lord knows Murray has warmed up over the last 8 weeks playing unranked and nobody's , when your playing Kyle Edmond for a place in the final then that tells me all I need to know about murrays tournament choice ! I find it strange he blamed tiredness on loosing to del po but decided to beat up on some lowly ranked nobody's collecting tin pots no decent top 5 player would want - hey if Murray makes no 1 then it's gonna be short lived , the sooner the moody Scot disappears from tennis the better how do yo like those apples ?
