+ Nick, if he sorts himself out. Kokkinakis if he is fully recovered from his surgery.

Not sure he ever will sort himself out.

It's been a crazy year alright. Certainly unpredictable that's for sure.

I think they get to keep them. Sometimes it looks like they'd rather hand them back, but apart from the Slams, and the very historical events like Queens, I think they make a new trophy each year, often with a slightly different design.

Mock the Week fans can rest assured that they could probably fit the baby, plus both dogs into the Beijing Trophy.

I think he will. At least a bit. He seems to be very two steps forward, and one back again, but I'm convinced his biggest problem is the lack of someone to keep him company on tour apart from his brother, who is nothing short of a liability. He is friendly with a number of other players, but they are also rivals and have their own things to focus on. The last I heard, he was still resisting a coach, but had conceded to some kind of fitness trainer, so that's a start, and if he does have to check in with a decent counsellor once a week or whenever required, he can channel his frustrations someplace other than on the court or at press conferences.

I've said for ages that he needs to travel with someone who will help make life on the road both fun and fulfilling. Whether this person is called a coach, a hitting partner, or even a PA, if they can schedule his time so he can still have fun as well as working hard, he could be a force to contend with. As things stand, he still is a force to contend with ... some of the time.

Sorry, that is my fault, just who are the exciting talent to look out for, that maybe have not had the headlines come their way so far in their careers.

Add Nick Kyrgios, Thanasi Kokkinakis, Kyle Edmund and Francis Tiafoe to the list as Tartan Belle and Lisa have said.

Late as ever but Rafa has congratulated Andy on twitter.

He has also said he is ready to die to win another slam, which is good because effort is what he was lacking. He's so lazy.

awh!

it's good that Rafa has recognised it's his lack of effort that's been holding him back all these years

Nice tweet and well you're both so right, it's about time the boy realised you need to treat each point as if your life depended upon it. Imagine the stellar career he could have had if Uncle Toni drilled this into him early on.

Aww that's lovely! As for the other bit, I appreciate the sentiment, but he already killed himself for the Olympics, don't do any more damage please.

It's a bit late in the day, but at least he has recognised this flaw now. Hopefully he can rectify the situation. His lack of ambition and dedication is disappointing to me.

Honestly I read it and groaned lol, he's a mad man.

Ha! I'm enjoying the fact that even when he's posing doing the #1 sign, he's still not bothered to tie up his laces.

I'm also a bit worried that the trophy looks dangerous. He'll have someone's eye out with it - hopefully not his own.

With the Paris Masters just completed it feels like an appropriate time to remind everyone that Janowicz once made a masters final

I was only thinking about Thanasi yesterday and wondering where he's up to with his recovery - he's not giving anything away on his Twitter. He's a player I was really starting to like before his injury so hopefully he'll be back soon - I'm guessing he'll be aiming for the Australian Open, if not a warm-up tournament before that.

He was at Rio but I think it was - unlike several other players and athletes - he wanted to have the experience. I hope he is back in 2017, for and healthy.

We all need Kok in our lives, if only to prove he is the more talented young Aussie player.
