Congratulations to Andy, that is Sports Personality sown up.

Any chance of Jamie being number one in the doubles, to complete a perfect end of the year for that family?

Where is Miss Ayrshire?

Delpo congratulates Andy

As does Pouille and David Haye, Jo Konta, Berdych, Tommy Haas.

They are the year end number 1 pair.

Only Bruno could have got the individual number one but that went when they lost yesterday.

Yes, Jamie has reclaimed no.1 in the doubles too.

Edit: Yeah as a duo, not individually.

Still this pic is valid though.

Mahut is individual doubles no.1 but Jamie & Bruno are the no.1 doubles team.

Andy you have made being a fan of your erratic, wonderfully hair raising , emotionally sapping , delightfully exciting tennis so worth while. Your dead pan delivery on reciving the trophy was worth the wait. Love ya. X

I have been too nervous to post or do anything but my god I am so very happy.
Andy Murray what an animal. So strong, so brilliant, what a champion.

Thanks for all of the replies.

Fabulous news, and it could not happen to a better bunch of brothers, they are a true inspiration to a heck of a lot of people, old and young alike.

Both being number one is surreal, growing up, the best I thought was Tim getting into a quarter a Wimbledon, but not really troubling the rankings all that much.
To get not one, but two British people at number one, is quite sensational, and a huge achievement.

I wonder if Djoko will fire Boris now and he'll ending up working with Raonic.

Excellent stuff for Andy - brilliant way to win the title and wrap up the year end number one. Thoroughly well deserved reward for years of hard work.

Well done Andy. I wish Tally was here to see this.

A young Charlton Heston would've been ideal, or this fellow:

It would surprise me. Milos has Carlos Moya and Mac has openly said he would work with Milos in the off season. I bet he's on the end of the phone of Milos ever wants any advice.
