Jo has hired Wim Fissette as her new coach and Rafa's added Carlos Moya to his team.

Testing for gremlins first before it goes live I think and making sure all the forum data could be migrated over to the new forum software.

Moya wasn't out of work long!

I don't know coaches as well as some of you on here, so thoughts on Jo's new coach?

It's certainly an upgrade in terms of next level progression in her career. He's worked with Clijsters, Halep, Vika and got in and got out at the right time for Lisicki's Wimbledon final. It'll all depend on how they gel in the long run or if he's just biding his time until Vika returns from maternity leave. He doesn't need to reinvent the wheel with Jo, just maybe sort out a better plan B than dropshotting to death when plan A isn't working.

Thanks Lisa

I will look forward to how Jo moves forward and improves her game (hopefully) in the coming months.

Ha, this tweet about the Raonic Inc Team is funny

I'm pleased to see Carlos Moya join Nadal's team. For quite a while now I thought Rafa needed some fresh ideas. Hopefully Carlos can help Rafa regain his best form again.

He'll get it at the end of his career. It would be funny introducing him as Sir Andy Murray as he comes on court.

He's known as King Roger to his fanatical Swiss groupies already.

I didn't vote for Andy and I am one of his greatest fans.
Loved his quip that Kim voted for Nick and she wasn't getting a christmas present.

Pleased for Andy, even if it was never in doubt Shame we have to endure the usual "but he doesn't have a personality!!!1!" comments, but sure we all knew that'd happen. Hoping 2017 is good for him now!

Pleased for Andy but poor Mo Farrah. I wonder if it's because he came here as a ten year old or something like that. He is outstanding but the public just haven't taken to him.

I'd vote for Mo, but he came in under a different nationality, doesn't actually live here, and there were the drug slurs, all plenty enough for a reactionary public to go against.

I'm sorry not even in the top 3 is a joke, on pure achievements he should have won it at least once, but ho-hum that's the world we live in now.

I'm trying to figure just what he'd have to do to top 2016. Winning the Aus Open would be a fine start and hopefully getting a 3rd Wimbledon title and possibly another nerve-wrecking battle for year end No.1 would help too

Just an absolutely supreme year for the Murray clan and one which I'll hold in my memory for years to come.

8000 points adrift of Novak at the start of the year, his father-in-law taking ill at Melbourne, his brother winning Aussie Open and becoming No.1 for the first time, the arrival of his first born, having Lendl back in his team, winning Wimbledon, getting to Davis Cup semi, winning 2nd Olympic Gold, his brother winning US Open and then the piece de resistance - the battle at the O2. All year he's faced the criticism of not beating Top10 players for most of his wins this season and here, he beats 5 of them in one week - including his arch nemesis Djokovic - to claim the WTF title and the World No.1 spot which he also shared with his brother. He's then awarded that most obscure of titles, the ITF World Champion and the not so obscure SPOTY for the 3rd time!

I thank Judy and Willie Murray for their gifts to the tennis world.

Yay the boards are back up and running

Well done Andy, I would have voted for Max Whitlock though.

Absolutely. I'm sure he has lots of great technical ideas, but simply being there and changing the dynamics will help Nadal to enter the new year with a fresh sense of purpose.

A beautiful baby, but those toddler years could be interesting.

When he's retired. They can give him the CBE this year, which is more than enough. It would be weird for people to use it while he's competing, so he'll not get the benefit. It's a bit like wearing a coat indoors!

The public have taken to him. He's very popular, just not REALLY popular, and the sort of person voting on SPOTY votes for an emotional story like someone coming back from a broken neck. Mo's success is amazing, but we're so used to him being amazing that there's not that extra motivation. Being born abroad will influence a few people, but he lives abroad full time now too, which is more of a big deal. Taking part in the Great North Run doesn't sufficiently compensate for it.

Meanwhile, Wimbledon dominates the airwaves when it's on each year, and the Brownlee brothers train in the Yorkshire Dales, mock each other relentlessly, and go to their mum's for a roast dinner every Sunday etc.

I'm not sure anyone posted this:

No more AEGON Queens Championship

I don't think it was *that* confusing...

Holy shit, Petra Kvitova attacked in her own home, sustained knife wounds to her left hand. She's ok, but going for surgery apparently.
