The wind's horrendous where I am too. Have to keep checking the fence panels as they were ruined last year. Planned on building a close boarded fence this month and then my OH has just been made redundant so that's the fence being fixed a lower priority.
Sorry to hear that about your OH hope they find something soon - I am 6 months unemployed now. Urgh. I am moving soon though hopefully because where I am is in a downturn because of the oil.

BIB That's the reason they gave for his redundancy too. He usually find work quickly but he hit the big 5-0 this year so that might make it harder for him to get seen for interviews.

I like the look of this arena but it does look like it gives lots of space for the winds to get up a speed. Is Dreddy's hat on because of the wind?

Come on Dreddy. The Brazilian crowd is like a pantomime.

That was my guess at the start.

Re age and interviews - I'm in my 40s and often find myself the youngest person round the table when I go to work meetings. Come into the public sector we're working until we're 70.

Oh no what happened?

Looks like he went over on his ankle. It's really puffed up. Last time I did that I was hobbling around for 6 weeks. And he's going to play on it!

Oh no he isn't.

Ach so unfair. I know it's not life and death but I'm guessing he would have loved the fact that he's part of the Olympics.

Hopefully it won't ruin the rest of his season.

Crap. Poor Dreddy. Given his age, that's probably his last Olympics too.

There are 8 BBC Olympic channels, and currently, only 7 are in use. I can't understand why nothing is on the last channel. If there is tennis on centre court, then why can't they just put it on BBC Olympics channel 8?

I don't know but I've got it on TV through BBC sports. It doesn't really matter how it gets there as long as it's available I suppose.

Yeah, it's pretty pathetic that Tennis isn't on one of the main channels and sports that no one cares about are. It's pretty amazing how out of touch the UK media really are, especially Sky Sports News. They would harp on endlessly about nonsense like Golf and F1 and not give Tennis even close to the time it deserves. Both these companies are clowns.

You mean via the red button? I looked at the red button and didn't find any tennis.

It's not the red button it's a yellow square that has BBC sports on it. On my TV it's on the same page as iplayer.

I'm not entirely sure what that is but my TV is only about 3 years old and I can get iplayer on it.

Are we presuming Nadal will be on after Serena?

Cheers striing. It was Court 1 that I want to see. Hopefully Angie can win a match here
It's on now.

No tennis on the RB until 8.15pm. I thought it was meant to be on this afternoon?

The schedules got messed up because of the weather.

Centre and court 1 are showing now.

There's not much going on in illegal streamville land either. I'm really peed off that I never got to see Kyle Edmund. How galling it must be for those who've made it to the Olympics after training for 4 years, only to find out their relative's event isn't televised. The last Olympics I had no problem finding stuff to watch and their schedules. It's been a nightmare this year. BBC website says "In session/In progress" You click onto it, where it shows what looks like a video with a Play button and there's nothing live when you click it!
