Showing my age here but what is Reddit?
It's kind of a cross between a forum and blogging - basically people just post about any old thing they're interested in and start a conversation.

Nice interview with Jamie here - interesting to read he finished the partnership with Peers by email!

Thanks for reddit info.
I found Jamie's interview interesting but rather sad. He doesn't seem joyous about his career.

I know what you mean - it does seem like it's just a job to him, but I guess his competitiveness just keeps spurring him on.

I have no idea but I'm thinking maybe an American thing and not something we need to know about.
According to wiki:

. As of 2016, Reddit had 542 million monthly visitors (234 million unique users), ranking #11 most visited web-site in US and #25 in the world.[7] Across 2015, Reddit saw 82.54 billion pageviews, 73.15 million submissions, 725.85 million comments, and 6.89 billion upvotes from its users.[8]

Mr Reddit is probably not short of a bob or two. Maybe worth more than Serena. Anyway good luck to them.

He'll be hugely rich.

I admit I know little but really bad things about Reddit, child porn, Pizzagate, Fappening, but hey I'm not a member so it may be all sensationalism.

It's clearly used by many millions and I'm sure they're not all pervs, weirdos or alt-right trolls.

I use Twitter, and though all those people exist there too, I can easily keep it off my timeline.

I wonder which WTA/ATP players would get invited to the wedding. It will probably be just Vika, Caroline, Sveta and maybe Andy R?

With Beyonce as the wedding singer!!!

Fantastic news. Well deserved.
Maybe he was distracted playing Goffin knowing the news was coming out.

If ever a tennis player deserved a knighthood it's Andy. Really not a bad finish to his year at all is it?

Nothing dubious about it- she won 24 Grand Slam Singles Titles.
Very dubious.

Some of her early Aussie Open titles were no more than glorified national championships. Only one overseas player even entered the 1961 Australian Open.

Normally I'd say she could only play the draw that was in front of her - but this is a woman that I can't abide, so she gets no benefit of the doubt from me.

Happy for Andy but I really wished they'd waited until after he retired

Yeah it does seem a tad early for such an accolade, fully deserved mind, but something like this should be awarded after a player retires.

Start of the year he has to learn Daddy is his new name, end of the year it's Sir Daddy

I wonder if they'll put his full title up on the scoreboard at Wimbledon and how many are going to have fun on court playing against a Knight of the Realm?

I hope the other guys seriously rip the proverbial out of him. I think there were rumours of such after his (O)(M)(C))?BE.

Fed gets a goat and Andy gets a knighthood...

But a source close to the star last night said that he would eschew his new title and refuse to be officially addressed as Sir Andy when he plays at Wimbledon.

They said: 'That will make him feel uncomfortable. He wants as little fuss as possible.'
Above quote from the DM. Such a pity. Would've been fun having the umpires address him as Sir Andy.

Will he still be plain Andy Murray on the scoreboard at Wimbledon next year?

They got rid of the formal initials and "Miss" or "Mrs." They never did have "Mr." though Nastase once insisted the umpire call him "Mr. Nastase".

Not really a pity. It's not in his nature to be like that or to do what Nastase did.

I, like irishguy above, wish they had waited until he retired.
