Sometimes Novak has a face you want to slap especially when he does that love in to the crowd.

Oh Verdasco

Yep. I was starting to feel a little sorry for him overall and then I saw he was still doing that nonsense yesterday... and the sympathy dissolved very quickly

I was just thinking the same seeing his completely OTT end of match celebration.

And Nando, seriously- how did he lose those match points in the tie-break?

He was 6-2 up in the tie break. Novak was just pushing it back. No way should he have lost that.

Okay, I don't want to jinx Andy but does he actually have some sort of voodoo curse on Berdych? I know Tomas is generally just there to keep up the numbers the the tail-end of tournaments but every time I see him play Andy, he just looks like someone who just wandered onto the court by accident.*

*Okay, I may be exaggerating but not by much.

His style just suits Andys game really well. He hits the ball really flat with pace which Andy likes. He doesn't have much variety.

Berdy plays as he looks - he is a good looking guy but kinda....bland and nondescript. Don't some people on here call him Bordeych? Same kinda thing.

There is that PG nickname, usually it's Berdshit.

I call him "person who I'm praying to retire so I never have to see him again", it's not a very catchy nickname I'll admit and not too dissimilar to my one for David Ferrer, but ho-hum.

DEAD! I can't look at Berdych without you and that moniker! Kim isn't a fan either.

Konta seems quite gracious in her defeat today. Still can't believe she last that match, after being in the lead in the final set. I think I must have jinx her, as she was 5-0 up when I tuned into the match in the small hours, and then she went and lost her next service game. Not really sure now how well she will do now next week in Sydney.

I notice BT Sport were using their own commentary team for the semi final today (Chris Bradman and Nigel Sears), but it's been the world commentary feed the rest of the week (with less ad breaks).

Anne Keothavong is en route to Australia in preparation for her first Fed Cup tie. Does this mean she will be out of the commentary box now she has a new role? I don't actually mind her commentary, but I know some of you in here don't really like her as a commentator.

Just on the off-chance anyone has been having the same problems as me - when watching Eurosport Player using Chrome it kept making my laptop crash after about 5 or 10 minutes. Tried various fixes but no joy, but then I tried it using Microsoft Edge and its been perfect so worth trying another browser if it happens to you.

I saw Laura was 3rd alternate for the qualifying yesterday.

A few late withdrawals and she's snuck in. Lisicki was one of those to withdraw, breaking her run of 25 GS appearances.

Who else has withdrawn, do you know?

The last 2 to pull out were Han and Mitu, That's when Laura got the nod.

Andreea Mitu has her wrist in a cast, so likely to withdraw.
