Djokovic out. This must be the most shocking day in tennis history with all the upsets.

One off or is Delpo a serious contender for the gold?

Well done Delpo, ridiculous 1R draw.

Shame one of them had to lose, great match from both players.

He must feel so incredibly disappointed. Tough match. Can he even play mixed or it that him over and out?

He did it, he actually did it!

Dead at doing it with a net cord. Such a moment for Delpo all the turmoil was worth it for that. Absolutely lethal FH's, Novak kept going for it but Delpo said no!

Novak's been in a real funk since finally getting the career slam.

After hearing he had broke the world record in the heats I was looking to put a bet on him.

Then I found out he was 1/100 on.

More likely to be struck by lightning than him failing.

Novak wasn't at his best, but he still fought hard during those two sets.

Delpo may have had break points, but Novak saved all of them.

I doubt he's too interested as even though it's a gold medal on the line, all the prestige and honour comes with winning the singles.

But he missed a lot of easy forehands.

You wonder if participating in Toronto was a smart decision for him in the end.

The 4 consecutive GS wins look like its taken its toll on him, and he's out of sorts all of a sudden.

He looks utterly devastated. He can take comfort on knowing one of his big rivals has also continually failed to land this title.

DelPot's easy power and crunching winners reminds me of Soderking. I miss him

He looks very gaunt. I would seriously consider changing that vegan diet if I were him.

Wasn't there a rumour going around that Novak has been struggling with a shoulder injury after Wimbeldon?

Also, he probably has one more shot in Tokyo. Fed doesn't, realistically speaking.
