Gutted for Jaime Murray and Novak tbh, was horrible to see him in tears

On the other hand Rafa's grinning from ear to ear during the opening ceremony was just lovely to see and he was really pumped up in his match yesterday. I hope he can do well and get a medal even if its doubles

Oh and DELPO! I was so gutted for Novak and joyous for Delpo both at the same time. I couldn't stay up to watch it but saw some online this morning and had to have a lie down afterwards after that emotional deluge

Because I'm worth it. I hope there are no more late night big matches after midnight tonight. Even though last nights matches were exciting. Are the singles rounds played every day or do the players get a day off?

Noooooo!!!!

I wonder if Djoko can recover for the USO. It feels like he needs some time off to recharge his batteries and heal his injures.

He's probably after midnight as well. They seem to be keeping the big matches for night time for ratings purposes.

Serena is quite early though, as is Kerber and Muguruza.

Mens matches get higher ratings. Well the big names. Maybe Serena being the exception with US audiences.

I was wondering that myself when I saw that schedule seems a wee bit unfair.

They must be playing after midnight because everyone else who played yesterday seem to be playing again today.

I'm seriously impressed at how many of you lot stayed up watching the late matches - good work!
If I can work out vaguely when Andy is playing I might set the alarm for tonight but I'm finding the scheduling very tricky to follow, can't understand why it isn't clearer when they have the example from the 4 Slams to follow, normally you can estimate pretty accurately when matches might start.
The official Rio app for Android is abysmal. It just crashes every time you go into it, and if you do manage to get onto a page it doesn't seem to be updated. So frustrating
