I can't think who you mean.....

Side note, is that text awkward sounding to anybody else? 'born in Spain, admired in the World' like in the worlds molten core?

What is on the plate? It looks gross.
Yes very awkward text but kind of like Rafa's English no?

When you put it like that, it suddenly becomes much cuter.

Give her time. Delpo is going through the same thing and he seems to be on the way back. At her age she has time on her side.

To be fair, as Jaccobabe says, the question wasn't as bad as originally stated, the latter half of the question was asking if she knew that Vika had a boyfriend. I agree that it was unprofessional and irrelevant, but not really on much worse of a par than the usual dud questions that players can get asked. Tumaini Carayol completely misquoted him on Twitter, so I'm not surprised he got into that argument with him. So all in all, he posed dumb questions, but I don't think he deserved to lose his job over it.
I don't think he should have lost his job either, he could have been given a talking to behind the scenes and perhaps he could offer an apology. To me this is in the same vein as that time Genie was asked to twirl and show off her dress, just talk to her like a professional athlete ffs.

I agree striing. Whilst it's disappointing, it's the same kind of results that's been happening. Not any worse, not any better.

And when you step off the tube and see the full size poster... well it cheered up the commute.

I thought Tara would win this.

Laura is still only 22 she has time but she has lost lots of matches this year.

If she can just get that serve working and cut out all the free points she's giving away then I think she'd make good progress.

This Venus/Linette match in Stanford has some of the worst line calls I have seen for a long time. Even the umpire is not amused!

Serena is watching from the stands. Not sure about watching though - don't think she's looked up from her mobile even once.

Because his questions were irrelevant and unprofessional.

Statement on the sacking.
Well, that Carayol guy misquoted him completely so he has a point. Maybe they couild fire him instead?
And was she uncomfortable? She didnt seem it? At least not more than what other incredibly lame journalists ask at every bloddy PC.

I can agree that they were irrelevant and unprofessional, and it might not be the first time he does this.

Yes!
Tumaini is a lameassbitch who suddenly saw a chance to get some attention which he did so kudos to him.

Cant quite work out why he is down as an alternate. If 98th in the rankings got in as the last player, then surely the player ranked 99th (Dustin Brown) should be the alternate as Del Potro is currently ranked down in 144th. If Del Potro is using his protected ranking of 56 he would be in the event by right and wouldnt need to be an alternate

Kerber wds from Båstad.

Guess no one saw that one coming eh?
She's not the first to do this, nor the last but I never be a fan of her.

Serena withdrew last year but she won the event in 2013.

Kerber turning up to collect hey paycheck and leaving after playing a single match is such bad form, Serena did the same thing last year as well.

Does anyone know if Evans/Sock will be televised later?

The Sky Sports News ticker at the bottom says it will, but the court isnt a televised one is it?

Baghdatis shorts are hilarious. They come below his knee.
Dan is playing now but not being shown. 4-0 down in first set.
Naomi Broady lost first set 6-1.

C'mon Naomi, we need that match-up with Putintseva. If she thought Ostapenko was bad she hasn't seen anything yet.
