Rafa and Lopez through. I wish he'd hug and kiss me like that.

Think there's a line, Lisa! I'll sneak off with Delpo!

Novak's Olympics is done, not doing the mixed. Interestingly he's skipping Cincy and so won't play until the USO.

Looks like a 2 year old's been controlling the on-screen scoring so far at the Olympic tennis
Looking at the score yesterday I thought Jo is in trouble but next minute she is shaking hands at the net. They keep getting the scoreboard wrong.

Something must be wrong with him. He has hardly played recently and you would have thought he would want Cincy.

Wait what? It's all set up for him to tick Cincy off his MS list.

Carole Bouchard had mentioned in her tweets that Novak has some strapping on his wrist, maybe that's the issue.

It's kinda worrying that so many players these days are getting wrist injuries.

Gilles Muller beating Tsonga, means that one of del Potro, Daniel, Bautista Agut, or Muller will reach medal rounds. in equal measure.
I said before Rio that we could very well have at leats one very surprising SF for both men and women. It usally happens at Olympics...

Wow. I was thinking maybe he would do a Fed and win the doubles.

Interesting that hes skipping mixed. But Serbia still has a team I guess?

Something is clearly wrong and it must have started before the loss to Sam

Yay for Rafa, sad for Delpo but he is still in singles whoot.

Hopefully I can watch Murray and Rafa later today, I can't do the really late night stuff.

Bit of a frosty handshake between Rafa and Delpo. Is there some tension between them?

Maybe that Wimby match with MTO?

When was that? Do you think Delpo would still hold a grudge ? It looked like Rafa went to embrace him but Delpo just put his arm out for a brief handshake and walked away.

Maybe Delpo was really upset at losing? Do he and Rafa meet in the singles, if they get that far?

2011, they have played since then and been fine. I didn't see the end of the match, i'm ashamed to say I went to bed. Maybe Delpo was just dissapointed?

Maybe it was just disappointment but he gave Lopez a hug. Rafa stood there looking quite surprised when Delpo walked away so quickly.

I have to agree, it really does seem if something isn't right with Novak. From an Andy supporter point of view...this could be a chance.

BIB: the stress of the (lengthy) tour plus the power of hitting the ball? Novak has been a bit Fed like, he hasn't had that many injuries compared with Andy and Rafa.

It will be interesting to see what transpires at the USO or if he'll even participate. I think it's definitely a wrist problem which seems to affect his shoulder. I had the same injury.

I think Novak has had wrist issues before, during the clay season a couple of years ago. I think it was 2014. So it's not totally out of the blue if that is the problem he has now.

That vid of Marc and Rafa is too cute!

Ah, 2014 is when all Andy fans were seeing if he was recovered from his back surgery. That completely passed me by.

Cincy is the only Masters Novak lacks. The pressure for him to win it, especially as some players won't be playing, would be huge.

In fairness it didn't stop him winning much, so if you weren't paying close attention, you wouldn't have noticed much difference. Something is certainly amiss, I assume his priority is being ready for US Open, if he underperforms there, I will be concerned for his fitness.

There's definitely more to it than meets the eye for Novak to be stacking the deck on the USO. Ticking off Cincy and completing the full set of Masters was one of the next big things on the to do list, for him to skip that there's got to be some niggling injury hampering him.

In other news, word on the street is that Hingis has dumped Mirza and will be pairing with Coco for the USO. I'm not totally surprised if true, results haven't been great this season and Hingis does get bored easily.

Interesting but no real surprise. Surprised she chose Coco though. Thought she would have gone for someone else. She will probably dump Paes soon as well.
