Stosur v Kerber should be interesting. What about Kuznetsova v Konta, have they ever met before? Does Konta have a realistic chance of at least a bronze medal?

I take it there's no tennis on now even though it's listed on RB 6? The screen now says it starts in 25 minutes.

I believe the first match of the day starts at 2.45

CSN and Keys coming on court now on RB 6. I like this centre court. It looks like a Roman amphitheatre. Good views from every angle.

Daveed takes the first set against the Russian Donskoy. Konta is on court after Daveed. Andy is on court after this Keys match.

Konta and Jamie are mixed doubles pair. Andy and Heather put forward but not ranked high enough. Don't quite understand that.

Konta and J Murray in the mixed doubles. A Murray and Watson also put forward but looks like will miss the cut due to ranking being too low.

Edit - as above.

I assume that they use the higher of the rankings. Konta plus J Murray is in the teens (Konta singles ranking plus J Murray doubles ranking).
The best rankings of A Murray and Watson (singles for both) would be considerably higher when added together

Worried about Djoko.
His wrist may be bothering him - he was shaking it out a lot against Delpo - but I think there's more to it. His on court demeanour has been weird lately and he seems mentally fragile - breaking down like that after losing a match was so 'not him'.

He wanted the gold so badly.

I wouldn't be too worried about that, I genuinely think Novak was just upset about missing out on gold.

For all the flak tennis get for being involved in the Olympics, I think the players genuinely do care about representing their countries. Novak was gutted at exiting early.

As for the wrist stuff, I think that's separate. It seems likely that he isn't at 100%, as I said before Carole Bouchard had flagged up on her Twitter that Novak had strapping on his wrist. Maybe it's a flare up of an old injury (someone mentioned 2014).

He's being sensible by resting up till USO, though he will be lacking somewhat in match practice.

I hope you're right but do you think he wanted it more than RG last year? Just can't see it.

Do you not think that it might just be a natural 'letdown' as it were of the pressure building up for him to not only get the career grand slam and then possibly going for the calendar year gs? He was under such immense pressure and a huge weight of expectation.

I think it's just the pressure getting to him - shows he's human. I hope there's nothing more to it than that.

No, not more than RG but he still wanted it badly to complete his list of career titles.

Apparently Zimonjic has also hinted at an injury. Maybe it's the pessimist in me but I just feel there's more to it. Hope I'm proved wrong.

Carlos getting the biggest cheer of his career.

This could be a tricky one for Andy. Monaco has a good record against him.

Andy pulled the umbrella closer to him and the ballboy just let him take it and left him holding it.
