Woz's appeal to get into Rio may all be for naught. Withdrawn from Montreal with a bicep tear that took her out of Washington. Quote:

Cibulkova into the SF's in Stanford and subsequently back in the top ten. Well bloody done to her, coming back from injuries isn't easy, particularly after she went so disastrously off the rails in 2014 too. She's playing very well, maybe even a dark horse at the US Open?
Fun fact! Venus made her WTA debut at Stanford in 1994, five years before her next opponent, Cici Bellis, was even born. |

Vandeweghe just went over on her ankle. Horrible in slow-motion.
![]() She has had to retire, and leaves in a wheelchair. |

2016 just won't let up, even more drama and injuries than usual it seems. Who needs The Walking Dead season 7 when we've got the US Open 2016 instead.

Wimbledon Day 11 - Heartbroken Goran Picks Murray For The Title; Jul 7, 2016 Goran Ivanisevic was inconsolable the day after the man he coaches, Marin Cilic, lost out to Roger Federer after holding three match point, and the Croatian now believes Andy Murray will go on to win the title. In an interview with Tennis Podcast presenter and BBC 5 Live commentator David Law, Ivanisevic said this was the worst he had felt in nearly 20 years, since losing to Pete Sampras in the 1998 final. He believes Federer against Raonic is now '50-50', that Murray will take care of Tomas Berdych, and that Murray will win his second Wimbledon. |

I think there must be something wrong with my hearing or something. When the interview with Jo came on BT Sport earlier, just before the start of her match, she sounded like a Scottish lady talking, like Nicola Sturgeon or someone.

Jo leads 6-4, 2-1 with a break in the 2nd. Excellent neutralising the pocket rocket.
