#1 seeds in MIxed Mahut/Garcia. OUT
#2 seeds in Mixed Herbert/Mladenovic. OUT.

Bad Rio for all 4

Spain give w/o to who they were playing.

Yes, Ferrer broken!!
Bloody hell what an absolutely disastrous Rio experience they've all had.

Bah, Andy.

I'm sorry, but I just don't like CSN.
She speaks highly of you.

I'd love to know how many variations of the GB kit there are. I don't think I've seen the same tennis dress more than once all week. I think Hev might be wearing the best version.
Jo had a different version of the kit on for each round of singles she played.

Okay pedantic time but why do people on this thread refer to Watson as Hev? I've never seen her refer to herself that way and it sounds horrible.

Hev is slang for Heather.

Bad singles loss for Jo. But I think it's fair to say, she did have the hardest quarter final of them all, having to face the No. 2 seed. I don't really see her getting beyond the quarters finals of the USO. If she makes it that far, then she's gone our round further than last year.

Just natural colloquialisms that happen. Even the pundits and journos shorten it down on social media.

There was a funny exchange on twitter between Gavrilova, Kasatkina and some pundits, because it was getting confusing between the two Dasha's, so Kasatkina approved her new nickname of DashKa. Even her coach calls her DashKa during changeover exchanges now.

Did you see the charity matches Andy organised after Queens a few years back in support of Ross? heather had a good laugh during those!

Yes. She keeps punching his back to gee him on. It's hilarious that she's the one motivating him.

Also when i'm a bit lazy in my speech, Heather sounds like Hever. I have to annunciate to get a proper Heather out.

MP Andy/ Hev. And a brilliant return from Andy to win. I am so glad I was wrong about them. But Jamie and Jo are out.

The all GB final is off! Not a good day for Jo really. I'm sure she'll bounce back in Cincy though. Is she playing New Haven as well?

I really thought Carla would be better but she was rubbish.

Lovely I loved those charity matches, the Rally for Bally was fun too. Honestly, I don't think Andy has a bad relationship with many (any?) Brit player. He was having fun with Laura in London too.

Well done Heather and Andy! Happy for Heather esp after her Wimbledon win.

I feel sorry for Jamie. Maybe he should have played with Hev. She is a more experienced doubles player.

But it went on ranking, and Jo is ranked higher in singles than Hev. I assume that's why Andy played alongside Laura in 2012?

Meanwhile, on Court 7, Aga and Kubot are involved in a hard fought battle in the second set, having taken the first set 6-4 against the Romanian pair of Begu / Tecau.

I'm common as muck, so I've always pronounced Heather as Hever, or even 'Ever with my other sin of dropping H's.

Good win given they weren't even expecting to play, Mirza and Bopanna awaits.

If Aga was to win mixed doubles Gold, then she could probably justify taking the long scenic route from Montreal to Rio

Hev is more aggressive and more dynamic in doubles and mixed. Shame she can't do the same in singles.

Yes, Konta is 9th on the entry list at New Haven.
