Hev is more aggressive and is more dynamic in doubles and mixed. Shame she can't do the same in singles.
She is. It is.

Maybe she's destined to be a doubles specialist.

Sad Rafa and Garbi have pulled out of the mixed doubles but guess it makes sense for Rafa now he is in the Doubles final. I was looking forward to seeing them play together though.

Lovely I loved those charity matches, the Rally for Bally was fun too. Honestly, I don't think Andy has a bad relationship with many (any?) Brit player. He was having fun with Laura in London too.

Well done Heather and Andy! Happy for Heather esp after her Wimbledon win.
The only person i've seen who's not too keen on Andy is Lukas "everyone hates you" Rosol

Is he keen on anybody? He always looks like he's going to head butt his opponent.

I'm common as muck, so I've always pronounced Heather as Hever, or even 'Ever with my other sin of dropping H's.

Good win given they weren't even expecting to play, Mirza and Bopanna awaits.
Lol, I'm a West Midlands girl so pretty common myself, my crime is never saying 'to' and not pronouncing t's properly.

They should call him Mr Grumpy Pants

"Murray leads Mr Grumpy pants two Wimbledon titles to nil."

Stako. But then, Andy isn't keen on him either! And TBF, I said "Brit player".

As in saying going pub instead of going to the pub? I do that and I say wa'er, bu'er, etc.

Let's just say I wouldn't be cut out for a job in broadcasting.

Hev is slang for Heather.
Maybe if you're a character in Eastenders but I have never heard Heather refer to herself that way or heard anyone who speaks about her say it. She just doesn't pronounce her name that way.

I guess it's just one of those things on the thread that jar with me. Like the constant reference to Goffin as short when he isn't.

Nah regional accents are all the rage these days.

I can be a bit south London but my typical voice is like something off radio 4 because I was made to have elocution lessons as a child (to get rid of the south London).

Yep that's it, I do all that. My accent is pretty horrible to be honest. A weird mix of Birmingham and Liverpool. National broadcasting is safe from us both then!

Aga and Kubot are out of the mixed doubles. Aga, time to book your plane ticket back to Poland (via Beijing, or somewhere equivalent far out of the way).

Bit like Barry Davis - Football, Tennis and Ice skating. I'm surprised he was still going in the Wimbledon commentary box this year.

Absolute radio would give you a job. I don't think any of their presenters pronounce the letter "t". It drives me mad, I end up shouting at the radio correcting them all the time!

Does anyone here have a free Deezer account? The lady in one of the adverts that pops up in between tracks keeps saying "Click the heart and add it to your favourites - Dee playlist with all of your favourite tracks". It annoys me that she doesn't say the word "The". Maybe it was done deliberately, as the app is called Deezer. Or maybe she is saying the word "The" and I'm just hearing incorrectly.

Dan Evans & James McGee play their Challenger quarter final tomorrow.

Qualifier Cameron Norrie's fine run has continued. He plays American Evan King in his quarter final.
