Odd to see that Andy Jacobs was doing The Warm-Up today with Max Rushden. Was that a last minute arrangement or had it been planned for a while?

The Two Mikes are doing a live show in Glasgow tonight, so it's almost certainly something that's been done with at least a bit of notice.

Listened to the latest Clips of the Week podcast and found the compilation of Jim White saying "Roland Duchâtelet" absolutely hilarious.
Surely, surely, surely they exaggerated it, because he couldn't possibly have said it that frequently, could he? Either way, I found it ridiculously funny. Perhaps more so than it actually was. |

The guy behind the glass on the dump button playing music tracks with Way making recollections of them going out on the pi$$ with Tony Adams to a dog track in Romford. Wonderful stuff.
![]() ![]() Alan giving us the top of the Prem fixtures again. Last bit is off-topic for Jim so is enclosed in a spoiler.
Spoiler
Only what I've read in the papers, think Villa are interested too. I don't particularly rate him. Considering we score **** all, don't think Negredo scored in 11 and Rhodes still couldn't get a game, which says it all. Not really impressed here, pretty sure he's on a fairly big wage too. You're welcome to him He's a proven Championship striker.

Max is often the regular sub on H&J when Paul Hawksbee is away, so I suppose this makes sense, it's just funny to hear Andy on at the weekend. I know he has presented the odd weekend show during World Cups and Euros and once hosted seasonal cricket shows what must be the best part of a decade ago now, but during the domestic football season you don't expect to hear him outside of the weekday 1-4pm slot. |

Ray Parlour is driving me mad.
Not sure how much longer I can take any of the following: Every other sentence starting with "the fing is Al...." Asking a guest a leading question then jumping in after 5 seconds to offer his own opinion before the guest has even had a chance to construct a response Speaking over everybody else whether it's Mr Brazil or guests Constant references to The Rose pub, surely a fictional boozer in East London which sounds like a terrible night out, littered with ex-pros watching the 3pm kick offs on dodgy streams

I wish they would take the fixture list off of Brazil, it has got to be an obsession with him now, any team that's mentioned out come the next load of fixtures & we're not half way through the season yet. |

I feel a bit sorry for Alan sometimes. Has the feel of the old boy who's humored by those who do well out of his patronage. Then I remember he probably gets paid a fortune for turning up (sometimes) and reading out loud whatever is printed on the back pages. |

Spot on Billy. The occasional club level seat at The Emirates, a trip to the nags, an invite out with The Lads down at The Rose.

I don't feel a bit sorry for him but he's' been for there for years so TS obviously consider that he's fit for some purpose or other. Personally I cannot get past how he spoke to Sandy Warr live on the air and his take (again live on the air) when it comes to the subjects of suicide and depression. I don't care how many gutters he ends up lying in, his choice, it's the lack of humanity that does it for me, and it seems like he is proud about being like this.

They really hate rojo on talkSPORT don't they. And also hate arsenal f*uk off with the biased presenters. Time this station had a major clear out of old has been presenters.

Olly Murs (born in Witham, Essex) and Andy Goldstein (born and bred in the East End of London) pick their fantasy Manchester United team of all-time, with the help of some very special celebrity guests. Don't miss it on Christmas Eve.
What a shame, I'm busy. |

What a shame, I'm busy. Watching my tea towel dry on the radiator certainly takes precedence over listening to that

Think its called scraping the barrel?
I bet TS loved Arsenal losing twice in a week and Ozil not turning up.. Chelsea 11 wins in a row and 9 points clear - really the "most competitive league in the world"? Looking more predictable with the top teams all at the top and the half decent sides in the middle. Bottom 2 look a mess and Sunderland will probably stay up with Burnley going down. |

With Arsenal losing two consecutive games, that'll be TS's output covered until Boxing Day at least!
