Sean Dyche was on TS this morning briefly. I thought I was listening to a different station
because he was talking so much sense and spoke as if he actually believed in what he was saying instead of the cliche driven clap trap that emanates from the usual suspects that infest the BFA show. He said that if an English manager and a foreign manager both do the same things in training the foreign manager will be hailed a genius the home manager will be denigrated. He also mentions the media getting managers jobs and I wonder if he had heard Big Al's constant attempts to get his manager mates and cronies every job that comes vacant. For anyone who missed it I would suggest you try to get it on a podcast or whatever as Saggy would say. |

Those quotes have been widely reported in the media generally and he is probably right.
Afterall would Dyche get on if it had been Brazil or Goldstein for example who just talk as if anything outside the top 6 doesn't matter!? But then there are always people in fashion so to speak with the press and those who aren't in sport and all areas of life. Ironically Dyche got his chance to be a success due to the fact our overseas owners dumped him for a foreign manager! |

I would say that in the 80s the game was still profoundly working-class. I mean, I don't think there were too many middle-class people in there:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtzHVe2mEN0 Interesting that you chose a clip of spurs fans, because they had plenty of the "designer casual" groups of supporters coming to prominence at many clubs in the 80s, especially Chelsea, who were flaunting their wealth and expensive gear. It was already a long way from the game everybody seems to look back at with nostalgia. |

What's Ronald Charles Irani up to these days anyone know?.
Since he got fired from the world's biggest radio station he's disappeared out of the limelight altogether, I can't be positive but last week when we drove through a McDonalds Drive-Through I'm sure I saw a bloke tossing burgers who looked just like Ronald, could be wrong through. The halcyon days at talkSPORT now long gone Ron has gone from footballer mansion and luxury cars click to a more modest type of setup click. |

Anyone got kids who are into the Olympics?
My girls are right into the gymnastics and have been jumping and rolling round the garden for days. They are loving all the different sports. |

So why the act on weekdays?, he really could be a good sports broadcaster if he wanted to but he prefers the pantomime act and it's ruining his career Mr Pillar.

Okay, bit of a rant here, I don't normally listen to the utter numbskully idiocy of the Sports Bar, particularly on a Wednesday when the cricket show is on talksport2, but I was making my way to work at just past 10, and I was hoping to catch the draw for the League Cup. So Goldtwat was keeping on saying it would be coming up soon, so I thought I'd put up with the dolts for a bit. Oh he kept on saying it was coming up, I had to pit up with him calling Luton Town, "little Luton", and then them telling us how excited they were that the Prem was starting in a few days, then he said that he wasn't going to just announce the draw in progress because that would be"boring".
Of course he stopped it being dull radio by him talking about how boring it would be, and then the two ****ing Einsteins started going on about how it wouldn't be drawn from an hat, or indeed a bag, and they mentioned an hat-trick was invented because of the old days of football, and we should be educated by that, BTW it's from cricket originally you bellends, they did mention Chelsea's draw of course. Honestly it's a big deal for us lower division clubs, i know that means nothing to these two morons, but nevermind, rant over. |

I love the way some presenters complained about all the drugs issues in the Olympics which is a problem and then only say they care about the athletics which outside of wrestling is probably the most drug riddled sport in them!
I have far more faith in what I am seeing in stuff like diving/gymnastics and shooting than I do track and field (and I include some Brits in that..) |

How's it ruining his career ? Love or hate his act, it's undeniable that for over 10 years he's had a prime show on a national radio station as well as writing a column for one of the biggest newspaper sites in the world. Gets to anchor the station's saturday afternoon football show from grounds all over the country and goes to every European championships and World Cup. Also clearly enjoys long holidays, what's not to like ?
I believe they might have had he not badly tainted his career by that awful DriveTime show because he's undeniably good when he's not acting like a muppet. |

I might be best putting it like this, ..... ten years at the country's biggest joke of a radio station although I don't doubt he's paid very well but why haven't the BBC snapped him up or SKY Television?.
I believe they might have had he not badly tainted his career by that awful DriveTime show because he's undeniably good when he's not acting like a muppet. Sure He was in Washington covering a Celtic tour of the States. |

Apparently old Cundy said how boring Arsenal were and how boring Wenger was and then proceeded to talk about them!!!!!!
Why???? If they are so boring????? Also why are they the most discussed team on TS if they are so boring??? If someone or something is so "craply" tedious then ignore it you weedy little twerp. Someone on TS said "let's hope Moyes can keep up the brilliant job BigSam did last year at Sunderland". Sorry but I thought they escaped relegation by the thickness of BigAl's hair. Hardly a brilliant job. |

Cancel the above query they're both off on holiday.
[for the old gang in here] Ex talkSPORT caller Nigel from Maidstone is still ringing up talkRADIO to the Iain Lee show. The guy's in his mid-fifties and is OBSESSED with Lindsay Lohan, all he ever does when he rings up is talk about her and sing songs about her and his bedroom is plastered with posters of her. He rang up a few weeks back and sang another song about her, Iain [who somehow manages to put up with him] noticed when Nigel sings her name he can't pronounce it correctly and suddenly burst into song himself taking the p!ss singing loudly "I'm Knocking One Out For Lindsay Lohorn" ![]() Now, weeks later some clever soul has remixed it and made it sound like this. ----> http://bit.ly/2bmMWjq |
