Have the 2 Mikes been on talkSPORT this week and if so can someone tell me which slot I'm searching for the Porky Quiz?.
They are on holiday I think still.

BigAl's back next week and the nation will heave a huge sigh of relief to have the biggest star of morning radio back to inform, educate and amuse the millions of the great unwashed mass of fans who idolise this massive icon.

The question is, how long before he winds up in such a condition that he can't fulfill his duties at TS and motormouth Kelly gets a 2am call to sub for him and how long before he gets the Big E?

Noticed when I listen before 6am that the travel bulletin only mentions Scottish places, I'm in Wales (listening via DAB)

Im sure the Arsenal fan who phoned in just used the term "B.S.", surely that's same thing as swearing. Anyone know the rules behind using swear words on the radio?

Mick Quinbo saying Charlton should accept abusive messages from fans and not be so soft as to worry about it. Funny that Quinbo. I sent Quinn a tweet simply pointing out that Liverpool hadn't won Prem for 25+ yrs and he blocked me. No abuse in message but he couldn't take the truth. What a hypocrite the bloated buffoon is.

I remember Charlton fans moaning about Curbishley cos they were only around 8th position in Prem and it wasn't good enough. Some wanted Curbs out------they got it and look at them now. No sympathy with the fans that didn't like Curbs.

George doesn't know whether or not she's on this Earth or Fuller's Earth.

Newcastle are obviously going to walk the Championship, pretty pointless even making them turn up for their matches...

We managed to leak an injury time winner today, so normal service has been resumed.

I'm not a big fan of middle-distance running, or even athletics.

But Mo Farah is a machine. You can't help but be impressed by him.

Kind of. What appears to have happened is that they have extended and/or shifted existing shows from last season's schedule to replace Call Collymore - with their weekend phone-ins now titled The Full Time Phone-In.

So last night, the show that last season was called The Season Ticket with Danny Kelly moved forward from its old 9pm-midnight slot to 7.30-10pm, albeit it mostly incorporated calls with a few other items as the show moved along. Their co-commentator at Manchester City v Sunderland, Stuart Pearce, joined a studio-based Danny Kelly between 7.30-9pm (the same length of time Stan used to do on the Saturday edition of Call Collymore), with Danny then hosting the final hour on his own. The 10pm-midnight output that used to go out under The Season Ticket banner was then replaced by a repeat of a documentary.

On Sundays, Mark Saggers has said that they are simply extending Sunday Exclusive from a 1-4pm slot for just the live match coverage to 1-6pm incorporating the two hour phone-in Stan used to do. It seems as if the presenter and co-commentator at the 1.30pm game will handle the phone-in hours, so for AFC Bournemouth v Manchester United tomorrow it'll be Saggers and Danny Higginbotham. I don't think they've actually formally replaced Stan with any one/two individuals at weekends, and won't look to at least initially, so I guess the phone-in co-hosts will change from week to week. There's also a new Full Time Phone-In on talkSPORT 2, which will go out between 5-7pm each Saturday after their live 3pm commentary game, hosted by Ian Danter and that afternoon's co-commentator.

Micky Quinn remarkably silent about the "Toon" today even tho' they played yesterday and he said they were CERTAINTIES TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP" before season.
He didn't want to talk about Newcastle Utd which is his way when they lose (ditto for Liverpool Football Club,Beeky) Quinbo can dish it out about other teams but can't take it when his teams lose. He's supposed to be a professional pundit and not a bar room fan and so should discuss all games whether or not his "beluvved" teams win or lose.
BTW BigAl Brazil also said they were certs to win League and was gonna put a wedge on them so expect him to be narked cos they have lost 1st two games BooHoo.

George asked Quinn " was that a poor season for Arsenal last year to finish second"?
What a dimbo, as a text in wrote "Arsenal spent little last year and finished second yet other teams spent massively and finshed below them so which is a poor result".?

Liverpool's current funniest radio presenter in the UK must be having multiple orgasms this afternoon after one of his many favoured football clubs won 3-4 at the Emirates. I watched the game in our local pub and it was a great game, every Liverpool goal made the room erupt and I thought only Wednesdayites didn't like Arsenal!!.: [genuine apologies Ven but 30 years of abject disappointment playing against you lot countless times has made me/us like this up 'ere but look on it in another way you must have been really something special to do what you did for all those years.

Ah it's OK Billy... If for nothing else it might persuade Mr Wenger to splash some cash on a defender. It's not like we've not got the money.

On a happier note we've just won an [unexpected methinks] gold medal in the men's gymnastics.

Great day in the Olympics!

Does show what great organisation and spending money wisey can do.

Probably be rubbished by Talksport though - even more so now the Premier league has started!

All be about the Arsenal of course - ironically Wenger was giving a young English player a chance which people want to see!

News Corp haven't bought it yet, the deadline for TWG shareholders to vote is Wednesday (17th August). If they vote to accept News Corp's offer Ofcom will have to review it, the outcome should be known in November.

A couple of comments:

- there seem to be different views on why Stan Collymore has left. Anyone have a definitive answer? If he has left, will he still be a "friend of the station"????

- I really hope that football is hardly discussed tomorrow ..... There is so much other great sport to discuss; gymnastics, cycling, rowing, sailing, golf, tennis, track & field, rugby league, cricket etc.

Sadly I fear that although the above will get a mention, the main focus will be a sport that I'm slowly, yet unavoidably, falling out of love with. Because of the importance that TS and their callers now place on the results of football matches, it worries me that they all have the wrong balance in life. Yes I support a team and my country to win but after a match I get on with life, do other things and enjoy other sports.

With TS football (not just Premier League football) has become like a religion - and we all know how bad for society religion can be .....

Reading my post again this morning [now sober] I don't feel all that good about making the comments I did against a fellow member's club but hey Ven it's only bitterness forcing its way out at the memory of you lot inflicting two Wembley defeats on us I know Arsenal are one fantastic football club.
