Two Britons already into the last 16 of the US Open singles, and neither of them is Andy Murray.
I've been watching Jo Konta play a lot, and she is as solid as a rock on hard courts. I have no doubt she will feature in the latter stages at the Australian Open and US Open for years to come. I wonder if she has the variety to succeed on grass and clay, but she's a very fine player.
Not seen so much of Kyle Edmund, but from what I have seen he looks certain to be a top 20 player. He has all the weapons to go a long way in the game.
Dan Evans has also made the third round and plays tomorrow, and Murray is a virtual certainty to go through.
Britain also has number 4 in the world in doubles in Jamie Murray, and Dom Inglot in the top 30. Potentially by next year Konta, Watson, Robson and Broady should all be in the top 100 of the women's game.
This is by far the best state British tennis has been in during my lifetime.
