I agree with you that talkSPORT should cover the Paralympics, and that the event should receive roughly the same amount of coverage the station gave to the Olympics.
But I think you have to qualify how much coverage talkSPORT gave to the Olympics. They don't have official commentary rights to either Games, so you cannot expect them to go to town and provide the same level of coverage that BBC TV/Channel 4 or Radio 5 Live provide(d) on Rio 2016, they simply don't have the rights to enable them to do this.
What talkSPORT did have was a dedicated reporter in Kate Partridge providing regular (hourly I think) updates for the duration of the Olympic Games in the same way that they cover sporting events that run throughout the day like Grand Slam tennis tournaments. Having Kate or another reporter providing this kind of service for the Paralympics over the next 11 days would be welcome and is the sort of thing talkSPORT should be doing to cover the event.
During the Olympics, they also had a reporter in Michael Weadock - a freelancer who works for people including Radio Yorkshire - based in Brazil conducting interviews with Team GB athletes who were competing at Rio. However, he wasn't specifically employed by talkSPORT but was filing bits and pieces for a number of commercial radio networks or stations (I think he was also recording things for Sky News Radio, Radio Yorkshire, IRN and others) so he won't have been solely funded to be there by UTV Radio. What's likely to have happened is that he will have been able to generate enough freelance opportunities to justify sending himself there (perhaps with a bit of funding) and then each station/network will have paid him the going rate for his services. Going by his Twitter, he's not in Rio now so talkSPORT won't be able to get this sort of service from him, with perhaps there not being enough interest in having him doing what he did during the Olympics from other commercial radio broadcasters who don't cover sport to as great a degree.
However, I would like to hear interviews with Team GB Paralympians, whether that be over the telephone on some of the afternoon/evenings programmes or by having one of the journalists who are regular guests on the station and are in Rio - Gareth A Davies, who provides excellent Parasports coverage for The Daily Telegraph, being the obvious candidate here - conducting interviews for them that can be played out on the stations as and when.
talkSPORT also had Colin Murray giving a nightly round-up most evenings during the Olympic Games from some Team GB base in Stratford - however I felt this was just a bit of fluff that could have been encompassed within Kate's reports, I believe it was sponsored (by Strongbow?) and obviously Colin's no longer with talkSPORT. So I can live without that sort of thing, but hourly updates and interviews with Paralympians during daytime and evening programmes would be welcome.
Having said that, I'm not sure how much more coverage talkSPORT could provide on top of that given the rights situation. Obviously they are not going to neglect sporting events they do have commentary rights to to home in on an event they don't have rights to. But so long as they give the Paralympics a similar level of coverage they give to comparable events like the Olympics and Wimbledon, I'll be happy enough with that.
