Enjoyed Colin Murray so sad he's gone but it's 5 live and talk radio in the mornings now - always switch back over for the afternoon programme but sadly I've now regressed several years and am switching away as I did when Gaunt was on. |

Colin hasn't gone just yet - he is on holiday. He is back in August to work out his notice and his last show is on Friday 2nd September. I will deffo miss his shows especially the excellent Friday ones with Bob Mills and Perry Groves, the last rendition of "Words" will bring a tear to my eye - I know it, much respect to him though.

Whilst discussing the up and coming Championship League Alan has just said to Steve Clarke ".. I don't have the fixtures in front of me . Heads are gonna roll ....
![]() Have to say it makes a change from BIG Sam, did you know he's gonna win the next World Cup, the Great British Bake Off and the dad's 100 yard dash at the local school sports day .. and that's just for starters

I've been switching to talk radio this week, sadly I find parry irritating beyond belief. I accept he's very popular with others but for me I don't find his act of buffoonery the slightest bit entertaining.

I never knew we had such a genius, a football tactician of the highest order, a man manager of the greatest skill, a diplomat, a driver, a fabulous coach and all the other crap that's been emanating from TS last few days. Even so he's been made the highest paid international coach on earth with over 3 million smackers plus bonuses for a part time job.
It just shows what effect a media campaign can do for a mediocre proponent of the football manager school. Backed by BigAl and Fergiel ( Scot's who have nae care for England) and Mooreenyo ( the undisputed biggest darling of the English press ever) how could he not get the job. A simple question for Durham "What has BigSam ever won"? A phone in guy said that Big Sam's number was " oh eight hundred won zero won zero won zero" On another point. mickey Quinn was giving a non stop display of his horrendous guffawing today. After every sentence he uttered he burst into lunatic laughter. The guy sounds like a nut job, "Great show guys, you're both legends, and thanks for taking my call" Last edited by hiawatha : 22-07-2016 at 13:48. Reason: missed word |

Just heard ManU lost 4-1 José giving loads of excuses.
Expect sympathy from TS Now if it had been another team from top of Prem they would have been putting the boot in non stop. Who does TS love more José or BigSam?????? |

Toe curling moment on the two mikes today. They played a punk version of Chelsea's Blue is the Colour, and Parry said "that singer shouldn't give up the day job". It was Phil Daniels and he was on the line as they were about to interview him

Dave or whatever your name is . Why do you bother commenting on England when you have previously stated you have no interest in the English national team .

Nice to hear 2 people who know what they are talking about on a Saturday morning....
Or at least sound professional rather than 2 kids in a sweet shop giggling away. |

agree with Mark F.
Although I'm not a fan of Motormouth Kelly today's show much better than when the idiot guffawer and the giggler are stealing a living on the show that Quinbo calls "the Brekkie show OooooohEeeeeeeeh". Can't agree with their support for Allardyce, can they tell me "WHAT HAS HE WON" Just announced wee Moysey at Sunderland on a FOUR YEAR CONTRACT wonder if BigAl will want an agent's fee? |

Well he is English and a friend of the station which helps generate the positive comments..
I presume given the FA only interviewed him and Steve Bruce that they want to go English as well. I agree it doesn't say much for the quality of home grown managers in this country.. Actually think Big Sam is a decent manager for a certain situation - just hope he does get the respect and support of the players which I think is part of the problem at England. They moaned about the likes of Capello being too tough and then about Hodgson almost being too soft! He does like a good transfer window too which of course doesn't happen in International football! |

I switched on at 5-30 this morning. Danny Kelly with My Sporting Life.
I switched back on at 8-30. Danny Kelly on the Weekend breakfast show. I just turned on the radio in my car at 4-45. Danny Kelly with my Spoting Life again. Has everybody bar Danny resigned in protest of the takeover. Fair play to them if that is the case. |

Good point. Danny is a boyhood Liverpool fan and also doesn't need the money.

He did some off the box co commentary. Probably for Talksport international.
It will be interesting to see if any of the talkSPORT regulars with Liverpool connections decide to join Colin Murray in exiting the station in response to the News Corp takeover. I imagine some will feel under pressure to follow suit or look bad in comparison. Specifically, Graham Beecroft and Ray Houghton both have direct connections to the Hillsborough disaster (Ray as a Liverpool player, Beeky as BBC Radio Merseyside's commentator), although both have been with talkSPORT for over 15 years now. Along with his RTE TV work, Ray has been doing a lot of co-commentary work for Irish national radio stations Today FM and Newstalk, so he might be in a position to quietly exit talkSPORT without seeing the work dry up, while Beeky does bits for LFC TV and were he to leave talkSPORT over this I'd like to think the club would reward him with an increased role on their channel given his stance. This is why I feel Colin has said he's not enjoying the attention he's received for his actions, as he will know that others who have a similar principles v career conflict over this won't find it as easy to find regular work elsewhere as he should given his high profile were they to leave talkSPORT because of the takeover. |

I really don't know how anyone can find Parry and Graham entertaining. The constant bickering and childish antics masquerading as comedy! I listened for about 5 minutes. It was as much as I could stand.
Can you imagine how those two would have gone down on a Saturday night at the old Glasgow Empire they would have lynched them from the lamposts by 9.45.
