I'm still going through Matt Forde's TV show first episode [havin to do it in stages to get through it] I'm about halfway though up to this impression linked below.

Here's a question for people who haven't seen the show, which famously known person is he attempting to impersonate?.

It should give anyone on here who has never heard his impressions a clue how baaaad he is.

Alan Brazil - The Magnificent Seven (Sivin) Quiz.

"Sivin" questions and each contestant has "sivin" seconds to answer each question.

He has a horse running today and it's the favourite. Will get beat by the Mick Channel horse.

Alan ranting about the Smiths which leads to him talking about his hero Rod Stewart.
He was saying that surely Rod was due for a knighthood and it will be coming soon.
Later Quinn told him that Rod already had a knighthood. Alan immediately changed the subject, not wishing to look stupid.
This indicated that Alan knows as much about his beloved Rod as he does about football. His oft repeated phrase that he didn't see it comes to mind or he saw two versions.

Alan's not into news media stuff so I'm not surprised he wasn't aware it's now Sir Rod Stewart, it was the same with the late Bob Monkhouse the poor guy had been 6ft under the turf six months and he was asking Garry Bushell how Bob was health wise, Bushell should have just answered very cold at the moment and put the phone back down.

Brazil lives in his bubble, his favourite restaurants and bars, his drinking mates, his Canary Wharf apartment, his Suffolk converted farmhouse, walking his dogs and work in that order.

Matt Forde on 'Peston on Sunday' impersonating Gordon Brown in front of Ed Balls, a slightly better impression but he is an easy one. I still thought the look of embarrassment on Ed Ball's face at the end was priceless.

Click link for the video footage.

Max Rushden and Parry in for H&J. Very strange pairing.

I was in another room but I'm sure the announcer said 'Max Rushden and Andy Jacobs'?

It's also strange to have both Hawkesbee and Jacobs away for one day only. Any reason for this?

Andy was meant to be in today but called in sick apparently.

Bit of a fall out next door on talkSPORT'S sister station talkRADIO after Jon Holmes the weekday afternoon show presenter and his team went to the pub after the show last Friday and got themselves a bit ratted and then decided to phone up the George Galloway show for a laugh.

One of the sidekicks Cornelius Mendez phoned up and from memory recited the lyrics of 'Where is The Love' by The Black Eyed Peas as if he was making serious comments on the world's violent troubles, George didn't get it at the time although he tried to make out he thought he had.

Now it's all come to light there's been a bit of squabbling over it on twitter which has resulted in talkRADIO blocking Galloway on their twitter account which seems odd.

Here's the call ---> http://bit.ly/2cYtQU2

And here are the lyrics to 'Where is The Love' ....

"What's wrong with the world, mama
People livin' like they ain't got no mamas
I think the whole world addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that'll bring you trauma

Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin'
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK

But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah

Madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach?
Or would you turn the other cheek?"

Enjoying Jim White on TS now, much more gravitas and a focus on news and opinion instead of the vile CM and his fake bonhomie. The handover with Brazil is much better too. All in all a very good move for the station

I agree with you. It's reverted to more like it was in Keys and Gray's time - a straightforward sports ( mainly football, I know) show.I hated all the "banter" and "what's the funniest something you've ever seen at a match" stuff. I dreaded when Colin Murray said that they would be taking a so-called different angle to other programmes. That said, in "real -life" Murray comes across as a decent type and his decision to leave was very principled. I'm glad he's back with Fighting Talk on 5 live. He was very popular on that.

Two Mikes - warm up take over is only the Saturday one... So that alongside their overnights Mon-Thurs... no problem.
