I switched on at 5-30 this morning. Danny Kelly with My Sporting Life.
I switched back on at 8-30. Danny Kelly on the Weekend breakfast show. I just turned on the radio in my car at 4-45. Danny Kelly with my Spoting Life again. Has everybody bar Danny resigned in protest of the takeover. Fair play to them if that is the case. Speaking personally he'd be high on my hit list come the revolution. |

Maybe this is what is happening, talkSPORT are willing everyone to leave so they can have Kelly doing every single show they do seem to love him a lot.

Really!? I know he can be annoying, but he's been a journalist for years, does his research, and is knowledgeable about most sports, not really a wind-up merchant. Things that we generally criticize the other presenters for.
I've never liked him Sean it's as simple at that, when he's on I turn off the radio. |

I remember many years ago, it must be almost exactly twenty, my now sadly passed on grandmother was bemoaning the fact that Alan Shearer was about to transfer from Blackburn Rovers to Newcastle United for £15 million. I tried to explain to her that this guy was a goalscorer of unusual pedigree, and that while £15 million is an extortionate amount of money, considering the merchandising deals, the quality of Shearer of a player, and the premium that clubs have to pay for forwards, it might pay off in the long-term.
If she was with us today, I'd have a harder job explaining to her how Paul Pogba is worth £100 million. |

He's a mouth-piece on football with no actual experience in football of any kind, as bad as they are at least big beasts Brazil & Quinn have experience in the game.

Never played the game. Hawksbee and Jacobs - brilliant broadcasting double act - never played the game. Brazil and Quinn - played the game - very weak broadcasters. |

Kelly is light years ahead of Brazil and Quinn in terms of broadcasting. On a different planet, many solar systems in the distance.

The fact is I just don't enjoy listening to Danny Kelly, it's nothing personal it's just how he comes over to me. A lot of people hate and won't listen to Katy Hopkins, George Galloway, Piers Morgan and Nigel Farage when he's deputising for someone on LBC but I love listening to them all, tis a funny old world we all like listening to different things. The new football season is not that far away how's your team Moseley Rangers in the Wiltshire Pub League Div 7 shaping up for the new season have they signed up any new players from the local pubs or are they going with what they had last year?. |

Not heard Perry Groves for a while!
Does he work somewhere else (seems quite knowledgeable compared to the standard TS pundit) Do they need some more Arsenal chit chat.. |

Couldn't believe my ears.
George n Perry were rabbiting on and not letting the paper review guy get a word in so I carried on with my chores( my wife tells me which need doing) and only half listening. Later it sounded as if they said that Mooreenyo was wanting to pay over the odds for players to lift all the transfer fees so that Arsene Wenger wouldn't buy anyone. Unlike Maureenyo he won't pay excessive fees. George was giggling and squealing with delight. if that is true Mooreenyo must be as obsessed with A.Wenger as Talkguff is "I want to win everything, I want to play well, I want blah di blah" TS quote: " Oh what a man, he's a genius, he's so wonderful" BigAl quote " Ah luvvim ter bits" "great show guys, thanks for taking my call, you are both legends" |

Usually I'm quite happy to defend Georgy but obviously she's not been wearing her sun-hat ![]() Good luck with the chores Hiawatha, I'm presently sitting in a nice air-conditioned downtown coffee shop. As the hotel bellboy famously said to George Best: "Where did it all go wrong ..... ".

Mourinho never really played the game As far as I'm aware Wenger was nothing special either. I like the likes of Kelly and Stelling as I empathise with them as a fan |

I apologise for not writing my earlier post more clearly RightHand I most definitely wasn't comparing Quinn and Brazil to Kelly those two most certainly need downgrading to a Saturday afternoon hospital sports channel.

In the end you did argue that kelly had never played the game, which was what we were arguing with, particularly as many on the station have played the game, and are appalling. |

"Davey, Stevey,", "Browny" - I see what people mean about Brazil sounding like some people are his mates.
Is it a Scottish thing to add a "y" on the end to each name? Then again was watching the cricket and people were doing it on that! Brazil says he won't be watching the Olympics now - well its on when he should be in bed anyway! Wait till Team GB start winning medals - even more so if they are Scottish! |

Interesting Billy, what is it about Danny Kelly you don't like and what is it about the others you love? Are the ones you like on talksport at the moment? I didn't think they were but could be totally wrong; (Sorry I'm losing track with who is coming and going at the moment - a lot of people not happy with new ownership).

Repugnant and morally reprehensible, each and everyone, but as you say each to their own,
In the end you did argue that kelly had never played the game, which was what we were arguing with, particularly as many on the station have played the game, and are appalling. I don't normally make a big deal out of not preferring him but people are asking so I'm answering. As for Morgan, Hopkins and Galloway can I make it clear I don't particularly like them but I do enjoy listening to them on radio because they are damn good at it even if I don't agree all the time with what they are all saying. Mr Farage I do like and he's an EXCELLENT radio presenter, happy semi-retirement Nigel after "Job Accomplished" and a big thank you. |

Alan Brazil is off to Goodwood tomorrow.
A beautiful place, totally deserving of the tag "Glorious Goodwood". The Epsom Derby and, to some extent, Royal Ascot seem to turning into Chav Central. Let's hope Goodwood doesn't suffer the same fate, the likes of Alan Brazil talking it up concerns me...

It's not as if there is any actual racing between 6am -10am. They don't seem to realise it's radio, not TV. Is it just to keep Brazil happy?. Will the new company treat him in the same manner to which he has become accustomed ?. I wouldn't bet on it. What I would bet on is Brazil saying STUNNING at least ten times tomorrow. |

Well, it's started .. guess how the season will be proceeding Alan Brazil style. ?
Just heard: Mike Parry: "Bit of a disastrous start for Jose then .. " Alan Brazil: "Nah" I expect Hiawatha will be along to do the impersonations far better than I can
