Can someone please tell Alan Brazil, Neil Warnock and George Graham that it is now 2016 not 1978!
Playing through the pain? With players costing £20 million upwards not the best of ideas guys

Talksport having trouble with an evacuation this morning is not new with greedy guts such as Moose,Alan,MickQ and the other tubbies fighting to get in the kharsis but perhaps not a subject for this honorable site.

Alan seems delighted with the news that Mourinho would "break the face " of Wenger
as revealed in a new book. If a footballer came out with this rubbish he would be charged with "bringing the game into disrepute" and landed wtih a hefty fine but the FA are scared of Jose. Anyway Jose doesn't look as if he's much use at fisticuffs so he should be careful and set a good example.

I think he would poke Wenger in the eye then sneak away.
Don't forget he gave that Chelsea doctor a damn good thrashing.😜

Life on Mars football style.
Did Big Al really say he ran a half marathon in 1 hour 32? Find that hard to believe and must have been many moons ago if it's true.

I haven't heard Collymore on the radio, so I don't know what he's like. It's good that he's spoken about depression, that's very valuable. But he does talk some twaddle at times.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37446521

Former Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore says young footballers are "milked like a cow" and are not given enough help off the pitch.

Collymore, 45, wrote an open letter to Villa midfielder Jack Grealish this week after Grealish was reportedly involved in an all-night party.

Collymore told BBC Radio 5 live: "I am concerned. Where are the mentors? Where are the people in the dressing rooms?

"Footballers are produce, there to be milked like a cow."

"When they are surplus to requirements they are dispensed with," he added.

In short: 'Footballers must be boring'
Collymore called his £7m move to boyhood club Villa in 1997 "a disaster" in his open letter, and highlighted some of the issues facing many young footballers.

He told 5 live: "What happens with younger players, and I have seen it at various clubs, is that they are a target. A magnet. People want to get into places on the back of them, want to sell them stuff, want them to supply a lifestyle.

"These young players have a lot of disposable income and they end up paying for holidays, paying for trips, weekends away. I've seen it, lived it, breathed it.

"It's very difficult when you have 20 or 30 people around you saying nice things, being nice to you, to look at the motives of every single person around.

"What Jack needs to do is be like Michael Owen when he broke on to the scene. Do the boring stuff, have a game of snooker, have a cup of coffee, play a computer game - become boring.

"If you go down the other route then you get a reputation and it becomes very difficult to be a professional footballer."
So basically what you're saying is...don't go to nightclubs and don't go out on the piss?

Is that asking too much of a professional athlete?

So, back to the emergency clearing of the building this morning have I got this right the breakfast show is stopped while Big Al is cleared out of the building and Grabber Kelly is sent in to replace him?. They obviously they think the editor of the New Musical Express is more expendable than the footballer.

I would say the producer would flick a switch & plan B then come into play ( A recording of MSL )

I'm hearing Brazil, Abrahams, Quinn, Graham and Parry all tried to evacuate the building by entering an elevator but the sheer weight of the load blew an electrical circuit in the lift fusebox and they had to leave by the stairs instead.

Apologies for the absence during the news bulletin, we have had to evacuate the building due to a fire in the kitchen.

talkRADIO evacuated too
Brazil's home-made triple sized bellybusting fryup exploded on gas mark 10 splattering everyone with grease and dead pig within 40 yards and setting the building on fire.

I thought Collymore was really good doing the phone-ins and Feist Night on Monday nights with Mark Saggers. Although I don't listen to talkSPORT live match commentaries very much I did hear enough of them when he was there to have the honest opinion that he was excessively loud and over the top but hey that's how they are on this station forever bigging everything up for all its worth.

Enjoyed the climax to the cricket season and it was pure Hollywood to win the title with a hat trick.
Gough and the other Yorkies must have been gutted.

Paul Hawksbee will be happy, not sure how many others on the station could care less, other than Gough, it's not Prem football after all.

Gutted myself as a Somerset fan, but it was pure drama as 3 teams could have won with about 15 minutes of a 6 month season remaining.

Glad that a Hawksbee team won, never comes across as anything but a gentleman.

Last Warm-Up with Matt Forde today. Where's he buggering off to? If anything, I thought Jon Richardson would be the more likely to leave due to being a new father.

EDIT: Never mind, he just answered me on air. He's doing a tv show and Jon's going on tour and has a new baby.

Wont miss it, although I like Richardson on the telly. Don't think this was an upgrade on Johnny Vaughan tbh.

Had a few early evening sherbets last night Jim, hit the sack a bit early so woke up early this morning and thought I'd catch up on the posts that's all.

Fordey continues to get more and more TV work and I continue to be still forever baffled how because he's just not funny, he's a very decent guy but he is plum not funny.

Can't remember if I posted this clip in here or next door just recently taken from his brand new TV show but have a listen if it wasn't in here and tell me who the heck this is because I was damn well confused and it's a really well known famous person.

I think Stan does a lot of good on the mental health front and he is quite honest about his own struggles and how he has tried to move on. He has educated himself and is turning into a half decent pundit.

However, all of this "poor football players, always a target" etc is baloney. Try the real world. It is much tougher.

Yeah it's nice but personally I'd be perfectly happy to forget about this season particularly after last Saturday.
