The main thing that gets my goat with this station is the fact that they steadfastly refuse to air Football League content, I could accept below-par presenters if I tried really hard and I might even manage to put up with the inane commercials if they would only include the other 72 EFL clubs and the clubs north of the border for the jocks but they won't the Premier League is their GOD.
On other matters Arnie Palmer sadly passes away a true legend of a player, Way Pawwar tries to say a few kind words in memory of this great, "Very sad Al the king is gone" Alan again shows his compassionate side and says "Whoah! am no havin that, whit? Rory! Rory is the king, The king is de...er...long live king Rory.... tae be honest ah wis sadder when Seve died" [after Wee Rory pockets another $10m] . . didn't hear it myself this is quoted from next door on TF. Nice one Al that's true respect. |

Stan 'the man' Collymore having a bit of a ding dong with his twitter followers, he has tweeted that the new talkSPORT editor Rebekah Wade should be "jailed for 20 years" for making stories up about him in the past, and all former and current Liverpool players who work for talkSPORT now he will "be asking why".

Talksport will get Richard Keys on to defend his big mate, Brazil will downplay it, in between scoffing bacon butties and insulting the dead, whilst talking about freebies and whatever else he does.

You notice the difference in timescales when someone else hosts his show. |

TS weren't shy about laying the boot into anyone at FIFA, will they show the same zeal and outrage when it is friend of the station Big Sam?
I doubt it. |

So Sam Allardyce it seems has used his position as England manager to negotiate £400,000 deals offering advice on how to fiddle the rules on player transfers and it's come to light after Daily Telegraph undercover reporters posed as Far Eastern football representatives.
If proven true he must go end of. Haven't heard the breakfast show this morning but surmise it went along the lines of BigAl supporting him to the hilt and whoever was playing sidekick backing him up. When you look back and remember they wouldn't even give Brain Clough an interview nor Big Jack it still gets at me.

They were both clearly uneasy talking about their "mate". The old boys club on talksport is unlistenable these days. |

I am not being clever, but I said at the time of Sams appointment that he wouldn't last two years. To be England manager you have to be squeaky clean & Sam is not squeaky clean.
The media were always going to dig up scandal like they have with most previous managers going back to Revie, Robson, Sven, Hoddle,& countless others. Can you imagine what they would do with Harry if ever he got the job. Remember the Panorama programme years ago, I think Sam & Harry were both questioned in that. Even if Sam survives this, they will dig up something else. Brazil is doing his best to defend him. Would he feel the same if it was Wenger?. |

Listened to the Two Mikes last night (this morning to be precise) when the news broke. They were giving it the treatment this story deserves.
Brazil and Quinny this morning, however - embarrassing. |

Alan's argument - "Whoever sent him into this meeting needs shooting!"
Barry the agents reply - "He's a big boy with decades of experience who can make his own decisions." That argument didn't last long. ![]() Barry then goes on to quote Cher

How ironic that this was the sort of scandal the fa feared Harry would bring on them, when he was clearly the better choice for the job when Roy was appointed.

None of the mainstream presenters will have the balls to slate "friend of the station" Sam while he is still in the job. If he survives and stays England manager for years they will want him on for interviews. They wont risk slagging him off now.

Alan is , of course, defending Sam with all his might and blaming the DT for tempting him
in between plugging snack bars and fish shops. Allardyce is the highest paid national football team manager in the world and is on £60k per week or £3,000,000 (three million) per year plus for what is a part time job and still he gets sucked into this scam. Some might say it's down to greed. Talksport are wheeling in a succession of ex managers/agents/ex players to defend Allardyce because nearly all the people at Talksport were in favour of Allardyce as England manager. As usual it's impossible to get an unbiassed aspect from this group of half baked staff. If as said earlier that Parry and Graham did look at it objectively then good for them |

Can you all imagine if this morning's newspaper headlines were, ... "Arsene Wenger used his position as Arsenal manager to negotiate £400,000 deals offering advice on how to fiddle the rules on player transfers after Daily Telegraph undercover reporters posed as Far Eastern football representatives."
I hastily point out they DON'T of course. But if they did how quickly would the talkSPORT dogs have been savaging him to rags this morning???, this is what really annoys me with these morons they love their favourites but anything to do with Arsenal or their manager it's vastly different and it's all because Arsenal Football Club and their excellent manager refuse to have anything to do with them. |

I agree with all of your posts here. I will say that I think it's a shame in some ways because I think Allardyce is actually a decent manager, open-minded to trying new things, and was probably the best appointment possible (not saying much!).
But he has been an absolute idiot. How he could get involved with this stuff when he's already financially secure for life, it is just sheer greed. The video is completely damning: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016...reat-after-te/ It's not like when the NOTW stitched up John Higgins, by getting him to make some very vague statements, and he obviously had no intention of any throwing a frame in any significant match. If anything he's leading the conversation, and has even agreed to meet with them a second time. I will be amazed if he survives, Glenn Hoddle was sacked for far less. |

While we're posting irregular links here's one for you my friend, it's a song I heard on the Iain Lee show last week over on talkRADIO and ever since I heard it I can't stop bloody humming it it's very catchy.
