Several people on 5Live were suggesting that Wenger would be a good replacement. That would be funny because then the world's greatest sports radio station would surely have to acknowledge that he is a better manager and appointment than Allardyce.
Although, incredibly, they probably wouldn't. |

The Alan Brazil show this morning was embarrassing. Following on from his poor comments and what he said on the morning Arnold Palmer passed away, this was another triumph in poor broadcasting.
The under current of "Sam had been hard done by" even though all of this was of his own making is pathetic to hear. Jason Cundy doing the same. And apparently there is more to come...lets see if there are any big names actually reported from the list in the DT today. Or is Sam a scapegoat to have a bit of a story but others get lost in the shuffle....will be interesting to see. Does anyone know when this meeting with Sam took place BTW....??

I happened to hear Cundy's rant on Saggers show, he seemed to be saying we shouldn't do anything good like Kicking out Racism, or Homophobia campaigns, just because no one else does, and that holds back our progress.
Very bizarre, personally after BFS practically giving busted-flush Rooney the player-manager job, I don't think getting rid of him and his retrograde football is going to hurt us at all. |

You can lump the "charisma vacuum" Danny Murphy into the cringeworthy pro Sam camp. He was awful this morning listing as many excuses as Brazil. Well done to Perry Groves for putting him firmly in his place.

I wonder if tomorrow Brazil will aknowledge the new revelations that Sams agent told him NOT to go to the second meeting as he was suspicious that something wasnt right after the first meeting. This means Brazil cant go on his rant about blaming the agent (or shooting him no less). Basically Sam was warned and he STILL could'nt resist the money, the greedy shameless idiot.
Even Brazil cant spin this one (but he will try). |

I can't see it happening, though. I'm sure the FA will sound him out. But if Arsenal have a decent season, which they will, it's hard to believe that they won't want to renew his contract if he intends to continue to work in football. I believe he will retire at Arsenal whatever happens. The only way I could see him doing the England job would be if Arsenal didn't renew his contract at the end of this season and he wanted to continue in football, but I just can't see that happening.

The only way Wenger is leaving Arsenal is in a box. He would never take the Engkand job in a million years. He has had zero ambition for the last decade and is happy to see out his days at a club who also have no ambition.

I see Goldstein was trying to win up the Celtic fans by saying a point v Man City isn't all that when you've lead 3 times.
Well that is still one better than his beloved Man U got against them. |

And Sandy Warr was not going to let him get with it this morning, refused to be over-talked by him when he climbed onto a high horse.
Even "Quinny" has changed his tune and ditched his support of Sam. He can see the tide has turned and its a losing battle. |

Brazil supporting Tommy Wright and Hasslebank over these new allegations (no suprise). Did Brazil really just say "its only five grand"? As if to say, why are they bothering with this story for such a paltry sum. Brazil has probably taken back handers that make that look like loose change.

Brazil's worth the entrance fee this morning. He's now saying that if the Daily Telegraph don't publish the names of the 8 premier league managers to which they have been referring this week, then the Premier League should sue the Daily Telegraph. Good luck with that one Alan, suing a newspaper for something they haven't said ..

BigAl sounding completely out of his depth calling for the Telegraph to be sued over the eight premier league managers and they haven't even publicly named them yet until they know they have 100% cast iron certain proof. [it's a coming though]
He "cannie wait" for them to be named so the newspaper can be sued in court. [?] Even Thick Mick can see the reality. Only switched on at 7.30 will have a listen back later to the Brazil/Warr section. |
