Were it not for the fact that the guy in that video is a pretty nasty piece of work and a bigot, then the drinking part would be extremely sad. It is still quite a sad spectacle anyway. He's obviously a functional alcoholic, but he's getting close to being just an alcoholic with no functioning.

How this is something to celebrate, I have no idea.

He attends at great cost to himself a charity bash on the Thursday and unselfishly voluntarily misses a days work on the Friday how many others would do that?. Not only that he takes the Friday off which will lead into Saturday and Sunday meaning the poor guy will have to be away from his job for 3 full days.

For all he knows another late invitation could even come in again at very short notice for Sunday night which would mean the possibility of him having to take all Monday off as well which dread the thought for him would mean four days off from working how self-sacrificing is all this.

Alan Brazil is just so bad that I'm at a loss to remotely imagine how and why he is on any radio show, let alone a national one.

The constant playing on his lack of professionalism is just sad, but the actual use of his alcoholism as some kind of "quirk" is actually sick.

Can anyone actually enjoy his show? It's not relevant, or funny, or informative, or even accurate.

It should be a source of great shame for the entire station.

He told Mick Quinn on Thursday that he will be a guest at The Emirates on Sunday so that's a no show on Monday sorted

Alan dislikes Mr. Wenger and Arsenal but not enough to stay away when multi freebies are on offer in the booze free luxury lounge at the Emirates. Ditto Durham.

Reports have it that Marcus Bignot is heading your way. He's done a great job with Solihull Moors and was a success with Birmingham City Ladies before that. Sounds like a good appointment to me (although you probably won't want to know how Moors did when I saw them in pre-season!).
