Alan Brazil is a victim of abuse himself, he's hardly likely to 'be from the same school as Eric Bristow ..... " on this one.
And I am disappointed that he won't any longer be doing his commentary work at the darts because he was my favourite commentator. I've always understood what he's like but it didn't affect what I thought of him as a darts expert and commentator. |

they are now owned by a new company ......changes i hope ....jim white@breakfast would be an improvement
I listen to a bit of Virgin too, and read some Talkradio threads, and there definitely does seem to be a bit of "sword of Damocles" hanging over the stations, and certain presenters, flippant comments by the likes of Jamie East. One can believe they'll be looking at every aspect of all these stations and see what is profitable. Unfortunately I have no faith that any of the changes will be to my liking, feel it may go lower common denominator as the Sun deals in. Yet who knows Sky is a professional outfit, and as you say a clear link with Jim White. |

Arsenal (Reserves) lose then (to a decent Southampton side..) - perfect for Cundy/Goldstein.
(And that's with Man U winning/Chelsea top) They had one fan on who said he doesn't even want to know the scores now such is his anger with Wenger and the club! Dear me - I know the Arsenal fans pay good money and it must be frustrating not to win the title but not many clubs have in recent years. Just as well this guy wasn't a Spurs fan... (I am speaking as a Watford fan just happy to win a game each week so maybe just not in touch with the pain of a top club supporter...) |

Tuned in at 7.00am.
Arsenal slagged off to high heaven, they have thrown away the Champions League again apparently .. Jose love-in followed, he is doing so well .. and on and on. Had to laugh though at possibly one of the best lines I have ever heard on TS which followed: Quinn: [Referencing Jose] "He won't win the Champions League this year cos he's not in it ....... " Well as he can walk on water winning the CL this year whilst not competing can't be that much of a stretch surely?

Paul Jiggins from the Sun was the paper guy this morning & he & Quinny laughed & joked all the way through it like old mates.
Quinny doesn't seem to have any conscience at all about working for the Sun. Where do you think he will draw the line?. I wouldn't put it past them to make all the presenters wear I LOVE THE SUN teashirts, xxxxxlg for Alan. |

Ray Wilkins joining Big Al for the breakfast show tomorrow morning - I'm sure "Mr Brazil" will be sensitive to Ray's recent problems and not mention anything to do with alcohol for the entirety of the programme.

![]() ![]() ![]() Amongst other ridiculous statements spouted by Wilkins this morning he tells us that "if he were Jack Wilshier he would leave Arsenal soonest ... " The point about Wilshier is an opinion to which he is entitled I guess, thing is Ray you are not Jack Wilshier, never have been, never will be. |

(I am speaking as a Watford fan just happy to win a game each week so maybe just not in touch with the pain of a top club supporter...) I just don't understand it, as sport is entertainment. It's not to be taken too seriously. Of course you want to win, but your ticket doesn't promise that, nor does it promise that you'll win trophies. It just guarantees you entry to the stadium. When I was younger and I used to have a season ticket, I just used to view it as a bit of a laugh with my mates. The game itself was just part of a social experience. I wanted the team to win, but if it didn't we just went to the pub and had a laugh. It certainly didn't impact on my weekend. There were plenty of times I saw players in the pub, so it didn't make too much sense to place expectations on their shoulders! I don't understand these obsessive fans nowadays, who seem to have been whipped up into a frenzy by the tabloids. Hate to break it to you, but football is just a game. It shouldn't define who you are, your entire existence, and your mood. You should just enjoy it for what it is. |

When people interview Phil Neville now, do they ever say to him "tell us about the 303 games you played for Everton in midfield"? No. They say "tell us about the year Man United won the treble". Wilshere would not be joining a top tier club if he left Arsenal, he would end up somewhere like West Ham. And he would regret it. |

There seems to be an increasing number of fans who have no perspective on anything and just seem to be incandescently angry all the time. I suppose it says a lot about the failings in their own lives.

They are a 24hr station that can only fill those hrs with negativity & instill hatred between fans whenever they can. That is a great point you make when you say your ticket doesn't guarantee you a win. These Arsenal supporters should think about that before they phone in to Durham or Goldstein immediately after a loss. Wilkins is on this morning having a moan about everything apart from anything Al says. Spot on Al. I have to agree Al. These two together are the worst combination of the lot. That is saying something. |

That is a great post, and it mirrors my views exactly. As well as blaming the tabloids I think a big part of the blame should go to Talksport

Possibly have to be careful for legal reasons? Chelsea have instructed solicitors to "investigate" to history of all of this. |

Think they can talk about it until charges are brought.
Not surprised there was nowt said......matey It's very possible that reporting restrictions have been put in place. Such an order can be processed very quickly through the Courts and Chelsea have the money to instruct nothing but the best lawyers. Only my opinion of course. Mind you if they can't discuss that it leaves them more time to slag off Arsenal, Wilkins and Brazil can't seem to stop doing that this morning. t's almost a shame that it was not Ray Palour and Brazil we're talking about, if it were I could have called Ray Palour "Parlous" which would truly have fitted the bill on this occasion. |
