Why did Andy choose Jason's accent to mock ?

Setting aside the fact that Jason has been Andy's biggest source of support in the house ( that aspect has been covered on other threads ) why choose Jason's accent to make fun of ?

Considering the way other people speak in there, if Andy felt the need to mock, then surely there were more obvious contenders than Jason ?

Sam's gaping mouthed drone ?

Alex's incomprehensible mumbles ?

Jackson's all over the -place charade ?

Why on earth did Andy think Jason's rather normal ( and perfectly clear ) way of speaking was the 'stand-out' that he felt the need to ridicule ?

To put the other person down and exalt his own superiority. He just can't help himself.

Because the chat with BB was about Jason and Jason's sulking...it wasn't about the other Housemates...

But he's had plenty of chats with BB about other housemates in the past ... particularly Lateysha, who he had a difficult time with

I don't recall him ever falling into a " Oi boyo, who's jackets that coat hanging on the floor ? " type parody though

Some friend, eh? Seems to have dropped him like 'a bag of spuds', must feel like he doesn't need him anymore. I thought after the way he's been made to feel in there, he better than most would understand how he felt and would've tried to empathise.

Andy's point wasn't that Jason spoke with a funny accent, but that Jason's accent made him come across as sullen, and contributed to Jason not being seen as open and friendly as the other HMs.

You think that little parody of Jason "chewing on an apple" was just Andy demonstrating that the reason people are isolating him is because of his accent

Seriously ? ... you excuse Andy's spiteful ridiculing of someone who has supported him the whole time he's been in there with that ?

any reason to have a go at Andy.

I haven't minded Andy till now, that was a bit sanctimonious and his mockery of his own body was trying way too hard to be funny.

He specifically mentioned his Brighton accent which he then tried to mimic. I'm from Brighton and don't speak anything like Andy tried to make out! Jason's accent is just a small minority of some of the Brighton accents

You have got to be taking the piss.

I want Jason to win and I did not see Andy's imitations as spiteful, ridiculing or mean by any stretch. He did an imitation of Jason in the context of talking about how the way he was acting today was doing him no favours - which was true!

Laughable. Wonder if rewind & slow motion are being used 😁

Guys not Rory Bremner! Even I could do Jason. The others I'd suck at.

Andy made out that Jason was like somebody who has had a brain accident the way he mocked how his mouth moved like he was slowly eating an apple and how he was contorting his jaw movements.

It is a small minority of people that speak like that down here.

Its going to be 32 degrees today in Brighton & Hove so we are doing just fine.

You have just mocked Sam, Alex and Jackson with your derogatory remarks about them.

Perhaps the general way of communicating in there has started to rub off on him and he is starting to descend to the same level as the chavvie ones (for want of any other better expression.) Must say I wasn't impressed either. Be witty and funny by all means Andy but don't stab the one person in the back in there who has been your biggest ally all the way through.

Disappointed me a bit that, but living in that environment for so many weeks is sure to f*ck with your head and make you act and think differently that you do in normal life?

Andy shouldnt mock anyones accent cos he is useless at it.If you are going to mock a London accent atleast do it properly, even Jackson can do his London/Black accent better.

1. Context - it wouldn't have borne any relation to the point he was making

2. Welsh is a hard accent to copy IMO

He's stepping up his offensive now that the end is in sight...turning into party boy and getting down with the kids....cracking jokes and turning on the charm in the diary room......and gradually edging away from Jason since he heard the booing on Friday..............the game's afoot

No I think this sounds fair enough - certainly worth discussing by the sound of it. I missed it last night, and as someone who has supported Andy I'd definitely want to see this.

Is there a clip anywhere? Or was it start or end of show? I might catch the repeat today but don't fancy watching the whole show.

Well I thought it was quite a good impression

And I think Jason will find it quite amusing when he sees it.

I like both of them
