So appearently ratings are down since Lateysha and Ryan left. (Not sure that Ryan had much impact myself but there you go)

http://www.tellymix.co.uk/ratings/26...evictions.html

Are C5 going to risk losing another big character (i.e Jason or Hughie) in a VTE?
I don't imagine Sam or Alex are big ratings draws. Would a double VTS make more sense to cut numbers nearing the final without losing more viewers?

BB would be idiotic not to have a vote to save this week otherwise I can see a final full of bland housemates who have cruised through to the final without having any impact on the series at all.

I can't see what impact lateysha had either.

Yea it's IMO a coincidence that Lateysha and Ryan left and ratings are lower. Not due to either of them leaving.

I saw Lateysha had retweeted this article. I think that she thinks she really was the reason for a ratings drop and not a number of other factors.

Lateysha and Ryan - legends in their own minds.

Yes, unfortunately Sam and Alex are going nowhere in a VTE, and they really have had their 15 mins.

We will see with the ratings of last night. It's not fair to compare Annihilation week which were getting the highest ratings of the series to a Saturday show which barely ever makes 1m.

I wouldn't say it's dropping because they are gone, but just going back to normal levels after Annihilation increased its ratings by 300,000

It says 'a favourite to win' if you read the article, not 'the favourite to win'...
Can't remember if she was even in the top three or four myself. Alex was favourite, with the bookies at least, for ages before Hughie.

Lateysha actually was THE favourite ton win when she was evicted ahead of Hughie.

Me neither she just sat on her bed eating chocolate biscuits. But then so did Josie, only difference she sucked her thumb.

At least Ryan moved. 😉

OK, you know the online polls history best.

I wonder if they think the drop of 300,000 is all her Twitter followers

I have to say was never sure why Alex was ever even a favourite with the bookies at one stage, was he ever top of the online polls Salv?

Alex has never been top. I think he was 3rd out of the 18 that entered on launch night, but his number deteriorated fast.

Also as for the ratings, looks like last night BB got around 1.1m incl +1 so it seems to be back to its normal 1.1-1.2m levels after the heights of last weeks 1.4m+

I don't want a VTS only because Laura will most likely go instead of Alex. There's a chance Sam could poll lower than Laura though.

I don't think Ryan going makes any difference as ratings were already down on Friday, Lateysha might slightly, because she had her following from the Valleys reality show, which means she should have gone on the celeb show and not this one as she already had a big fan base and a unfair advantage!

I would much rather have a vote to evict, as I think should have been last Friday and we might have got rid of Alex or Sam, although Ryan went which was just as good. I'm really hoping it's a vote to evict this week and we can get the likes of Jackson, Sam or Alex out if they are up! I want the ladies to stay because I think they bring more to the show than the likes of the above 3 men, but we all know it's bound to be two women if it's a vote to save this week!

There is no way Sam and Alex would have been in danger in a VTE.

It would have been Hughie, Jason and Ryan that would have polled the most votes, leading to Jason going when the HMs decided. Sam has no support but has no dislikers, i'd be amazed if he got 2% in an evict vote.

They should concentrate on making a good, clever, entertaining reality TV show - rather than the victorian freakshow they seem to favour - and the ratings will look after themselves......

build it and they will come

But would Alex and Sam really be at risk in a vote to evict? I thought it was the ones falling under the radar and not doing much are more at risk in VTS?
The polarising bigger characters Like Jason and Hughie are better off with VTS....the boring ones like Sam and Alex would do better in VTE?

It's odd though that the show was enjoying it's best weeks in terms of ratings during a tense week with no public vote.

That may be a thumbs up for C5 to do a US format. The ratings have dropped back down to pre-Annihilation figures.

It seems like the public tune in for rows and not fun which is annoying.

My sentiments too, plus if it's a double then it probably would be 2 women! I'm hoping Jackson is nominated by the 3 girls and Sam or Alex are in the mix because Jayne evicted Ryan because he chose the rich house last week so will she nominate both Alex and Jackson for taking the rich side and taking the £5,000! Plus I'm sure Laura will nominate Jackson and Alex for always nominating her, especially Alex! Plus I think Evelyn will go for Jackson, not sure who her other would be though because she likes Alex!

Yep you're right.

BB10's random VTS week is an example. They did that to save Bea from eviction. Did it work? Hell yes. Hira went, someone who would have had no chance going in a VTE, but stood no chance in a VTS.

Meanwhile would Bea have survived that week with a VTE? No she wouldn't.

VTE and VTS are completely different.

Housemates in danger from VTE- Jason, Hughie, Andy and possibly Jackson
Housemates in danger from VTS- Sam, Laura, Alex

Jayne and Evelyn could go either way as they have both have fans and dislkers in equal measures, so they could either both be at risk in a VTS or a VTE. Depends really.

I think it will be depend who's up this week, if Jackson is up I really hope it's to evict, the same for Alex as well because their fans will save them but a vote to evict will probably get at least one of them evicted!

No matter who is up, if Jason or Hughie are up, they will go in a VTE. Jackson would need to do something very, very bad and have an entire HL week for himself for him to go.

Alex will never go in a VTE. I have more chance hopping onto a plane right now, bungee jumping out and landing in Fiji right infront of a bucket of gold at the end of a rainbow.
