There is no point to trying to pass the Shopping Task anymore because they win numerous parties. Make them buy all the food and alcohol from the shopping budget. If the housemates fail the Shopping Task they can't then buy loads of alcohol.

They would have got a party anyway, it was clearly the 'script' for last night's show imo.

If they'd failed the task or refused to do it (silly HMs for playing along with that nonsense), there would have been another excuse to give them one I'm sure...

It's why the shopping tasks mean absolutely nothing to me anymore. There's simply nothing at stake and everybody knows it.

I agree OP, the housemates should get their alcohol as part of a shopping budget.
If they knew they had to win the shopping task to get alcohol they'd suddenly develop a sense of urgency.
They'd probably care more about the alcohol than the food.

Yes they were 'due' a party and it seems every episode has to have a central (usually BB-created) 'theme' so why on earth they put themselves through that disgsusting task to win it is beyond me.

I'm starting to wonder if they get paid by the task now?

I think they will keep giving them any excuse for a party so that there will be more arguments and more viewing figures.

They want the housemates drunk just for the highlights. Sad really. Don't find it particularly entertaining.
