EPG reshuffle on 26th July 2016
YouView
18-07-2016
GOLD moves to 124
W moves to 125
Alibi moves to 126
Dave moves to 127
Drama moves to 128
Really moves to 129
Alibi+1 moves to 130
W+1 moves to 131
BBC4 HD moves to 163
GOLD+1 moves to 190
Dave Ja Vu moves to 211

Basically making room for Drama and Really up the top end of the EPG with the other UKTV channels but losing the tidiness of having the +1's next to their main channels.

Sky Sports 1 HD moves to 501
Sky Sports 2 HD moves to 502
Sky Sports 3 HD moves to 503
Sky Sports 4 HD moves to 504
Sky Sports 5 HD moves to 505
Sky Sports News HQ HD moves to 506
Sky Sports F1 HD moves to 508

Sky Sports 1 moves to 511
Sky Sports 2 moves to 512
Sky Sports 3 moves to 513
Sky Sports 4 moves to 514
Sky Sports 5 moves to 515
Sky Sports News HQ moves to 516
Sky Sports F1 moves to 518

Back how they used to be, before changing them to the illogical numbers in order to make Sky Sports News HQ more prominent.

But why would they do this again?

Even with those changes you listed above? What space does that make in the early hundreds? for any new channel launches perhaps?

That is the only reason why they would need to reshuffle again because of new channel launches?

Good to see the Sky Sports channels back to where they were. It always made my brain hurt to think that Sky Sports 2 (I don't have HD) was on 513.

New channel launches is not the only reason for a reshuffle - this is about UKTV wanting Really and Drama higher up the TV guide than the +1s so that, theoretically, they should get more viewers than currently

Interesting gaps at 507 and 517... thought I'd throw that into the Mix..?

It's going to be such a mess, it's so neat right now, and the random BBC4HD is going to make it horrendous, at least keep all the +1s together if you're going to separate them!

How many people actually watch these +1 channels? Most digital channels get tiny audiences anyway so their timeshifted versions must get even less.

I quite often find +1 channels handy. But as for this reshuffle it looks like an unnecessary inconvenience done so UKTV can try to boost a couple of channels which I suspect are struggling.

What do you mean by 'Most Digital Channels'? You do realise that all UK TV channels are Di9gital don't you?

It will indeed be to give them a boost, but they certainly aren't struggling, Drama is now the second-biggest non-PSB operated TV channel in the UK.

I suggested some time ago that they move Really out of the Lifestyle section on 283 and up into the Entertainment section on 211, but rather than make that simple change they have decided to reshuffle lots of their channels to get Really and Drama up the top of the EPG.

Now the +1's will be all over the place, with seemingly no logic to their ordering. They won't be in the same order as the main channels, that would have made some sense.

On my Parent's TiVo box there is an App at the top of the page a Calendar with a Blue Background if you Press OK, it will take you to a page where it will give you a list of the changes

This has now happened.

Now you see it on the EPG, the placement of UKTV's channels really is a mess now.

The main channels are fine but all the +1's and HD channels are scattered all over the place and in a seemingly random order, much worse than before.

Fair point. I know that all channels are digital but I still seem to differentiate in my own mind between the traditional terrestrial channels (1-5) and the others. Maybe it's an age thing.
