A cross-dressing gangster in Walford?

After the (out of character) display of bigotry by Billy to poor Les.

A cross-dressing gangster could be wonderful he buys the boxing club and conducts his shady business from there.

Sometimes with make up on, sometimes not and with a gorgeous wife who loves him deeply and the total respect of his men (they know what brutality he is capable of when crossed).

It would put the boot into a lot of stereotypes and just imagine King Weeble's horrified reaction to losing his 'top dog' status to such a man!

The perfect man for the role?

Eddie Izzard of course - who is fantastic at playing baddies.

It has happened in real life.

The macho image of the Italian mafia has been shaken by the arrest of a transsexual mobster who dresses as a woman, wears lipstick and insists on being called Kitty.

They could have Paul O Grady dressed as Lily Savage playing one of the gang members too.

That's very interesting thanks.

Although I would not credit TPTB to even think of an original storyline like that - they only seem to be bothered about sensationalism, shootings, murders, car crashes and who is sleeping with who.

Obviously the Mafia is a terrible, terrible organisation, but I've gotta admit, I'd love to meet Kitty. He or she, however they choose to identify, sounds extremely interesting and like they'd have some amazing stories to tell.

Bumping this just in case anyone likes the idea of Eddie in Walford.

Kellie Maloney would be a good choice.

Eddie Izzard would be great. And no one would be able to outrun him!

I'd like it if the woman turned up and lived in Walford for a while, just slowly integrated herself into the community. Jack and Buster try their hardest to romance her. About a year later, in a shock revelation, she is accidentally caught up in a bust up between other characters in the vic, and in the tussle, her wig comes off. Slowly, the residents piece together that she is actually a man after Billy catches her peeing standing up.

At first, she claims its because other people weren't accepting of her. However, later on, while coming out of a police station, another resident spots a wanted poster with his / her face on it. The man has been using his cross dressing to avoid the police, he has been framed for a bank robbery.

He gets put away, but the case falls apart or the real culprit is caught. They are re housed in Walford, and then their ex wife and kids turn up. He assures them he has changed his ways, as the wife can accept the dresses and makeup, but not the gangster stuff. However, its not long before a new outfit and some drug smuggling get underway.

Knowing the stupidity of the Walford police they wouldn't know which one to arrest.
