For some of them, it's pretty clear. For example, Ryan said a while back that he was skint until his calender comes out. Ryan thinks he's going to get money, media attention, ... things like that. It's generally assume that such things apply to most of them.

But most people don't seem so cynical about Jason. Presumably they think he has some other motive(s). But it's hard to work out what they might be.

Jason doesn't seem to need money, and he's at least acting like he doesn't care about it.

He doesn't (so far as I know) have a media presence he could be trying to boost.

He doesn't seem to be a super fan of the show, so that that alone might explain it.

He may want to win and may think he has a good chance, but why does he care about that? Why choose the BB route to ... whatever he's after?

It's possible that he desires more film or television work and feels this would raise his profile in a way that bit roles in direct to DVD films starring Danniela Westbrook would no longer be necessary.

Was it ever confirmed that a few of the current housemates were paid more than typical regular BB scale for this series? I thought I heard someone mentioned this but it might have been a fever dream.

My guess is he was hired to do BB, and it's just another job to him.

He probably just wants to do the whole thing and get to the final I'd want to if I was in there

I actually think it is a sort of conformation that he has changed. He said he changed his life around a few years ago as he had done things that he did not like. I think he has low self esteem, but I truthfully think he is looking for confirmation that he has actually changed and maybe he is now a better person.

I like Jason but his self doubt is really sad to see. He appears to of gone from one extreme to another. Also, if he is looking to the viewing GBP to help in his quest of changing who he used to be and confirmation that he has changed, then I fear sadly he will fail.
