Thank goodness for Belinda, Shirley, Denise and Whitney...the only ones worth watching in that episode.

RIP Paul. I wish Jonny all the best for the future. Some of us guessed the twist but it's a pity Paul has left EastEnders and his death is tragic. I'm looking forward to the fallout tomorrow especially Pam and Les' reactions.

I really wanted Phil to just walk up and punch Paul straight in the face, teach him a proper lesson like. Knock him clean off the trolley in one punch. That'd really show him.

Agreed about Johnny and Belinda. Both written terribly tonight. I could have slapped Johnny when he made that dig about Lee's depression. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

I was surprised by Johnny's actions tonight but I think he regretted it straightaway. Hopefully he will apologise to Lee tomorrow. Terrible writing for him because Johnny is usually a kind-hearted bloke. I hope they tone down Belinda because she was getting on my nerves tonight.

I can't say I'm looking forwards in the slightest to Les / Pam's reactions... Pam will just get all in peoples faces like she normally does 2-3 inches away, but be even more annoying as if it were possible.

It did make me wonder about that interview Sam Strike did after he left where a lot of people said he sounded bitter; in it he said that he often had to fight for a 'true portrayal of Johnny' or something along those lines . I wonder if we're now seeing some inconsistency come through now Sam isn't in the role?

If Johnny apologises to Lee and actually means it I won't mind, if it was just a throwaway line to prolong Whitney's struggle to tell Lee about the pregnancy then it was a complete fail from the writer.

And you'd have thought the police would know what Ben looks like by now.

I thought the twist was done well. I would presume that people who don't read spoilers probably had no idea what was going to happen.

I thought they were still crying because a young man who they both knew had been killed in horrific circumstances
They would have undoubtedly had relief it wasn't Ben but it was short lived when they saw it was Paul who was the cokers grandson and who stayed beside them

I agree I think the looks on Ian's & Phil's faces was a mixture of relief that it wasn't Ben & sadness that it was Paul
