I suspected it about a week ago from the various spoilers, it was further confirmed when it was mentioned on tonight's episode about the number called was from the phone the deceased had at the time. Would have been good if when it was announced at the hospital that Ben was dead if Phil stood up and asked for his liver!

I would have thought that following the 'Ben is Dead' spoilers we were spoon-fed everyone would have known. But reading the twits on twitter it looks like a lot of gullible people are out there.

Brilliant twist, I honestly thought that was going to be Ben.





Even though we have knew Paul was leaving and Ben wasn't, Ben is the son of the most iconic character and family in the show (wheres the roll eyes icon when you need it)

I guessed when I saw the tattoos .

Theories about Paul dying started 1-2 months ago (before spoilers came for Ben's death) and I was curious as to why so many people suspected this considering nothing was hinted towards it. I didn't think DTC would kill off another character after Lucy and Fatboy's deaths

However the 'Ben death' spoiler made it obvious to me that Paul was going to die. It really shouldn't have been spoiled that a character was going to die.

The official announcement that Paul was leaving months ago was the biggest indicator that he was gonna be the one to die [no matter what misdirections official media sprouted 'i.e. X is here til X month'].

But also because common sense would lead one to realising that a soap isn't gonna kill a big star [the son of one the biggest soap stars moreover] in a quick and random plot like this.

I know the digital age makes it far harder to keep things secret, but if it's not staff or fans leaking stuff, then it's the soaps themselves advertising spoilers and character departures so freely month ahead of time too that lessen the impact of these types of plots.

Oh well. At least we have the curious case of 'Where's Ben?' leftover I guess.

I found it a bit weird that the Police told the family Ben had died purely based on the fact he had a phone on him. Where was the DNA testing and checks?

Pretty obvious it was paul but yeah the whole thing was ridiculous. The police should of got more information before informing the family. Just going by a phone is in no way enough.
