So where's Ben got to? I'm assuming it was a homophobic attack so presumably someone saw Ben and Paul kissing. So where's Ben? Surely he would've been with Paul? Or maybe he's lying somewhere in hospital in a coma? But surely the two of them would have been brought in together..very confusing

Ben did not kill Paul - do people really believe that - they were happy to show off their homosexuality and were subject to a homophobic attack. Ben is either in a coma/unconscious somewhere or walking round with amnesia

I agree, although is it confirmed that it was a homophobic attack? Maybe it would have been better to have had Ben turn up on Ian's doorstep in tears and reveal how Paul died saving his life.
