They have played fast and loose with sets at times and yet they fail to change others. Why Tyrone and Fiz have not at least painted the stone cladding is beyond me and as for the interior... just not believable

When Kevin and Sally bought No 13 it was immediately modernised to fit with the type of home a young couple of that era would have had at the time.

I know people say the same about the Rovers, but I can be more forgiving about that. My local burned to the ground about 10 years ago and when it reopened it was exactly as before - they didn't want to loose their loyal customers and felt a responsibility to restore it as was.

As for the Corner Shop - why it's not on the outdoor set I just don't know.

There isn't an upstairs to the garage, the steps lead up to the roof of the factory. The factory 'roof' was added around 2005/2006 and has been used infrequently in stories, such as when Becky got drunk at her first wedding to Steve, during the hilarious storyline when Eileen got her head stuck in the railings and again in tonight's episode.”

Just out of interest, though I as i suspect everyone else has tried to blank it from my memory, there was the story of Fiz's 'rooftop protest' (for anyone fortunate enough not to have been watching then that's all you need to know believe me ) but I would have had that down as 2002!!
Was that the previous factory before the 2004 fire?

Was the factory site changed after the 2004 fire (this is the Adam Rickitt one right), I thought it was put out without susitaing shah much damage although haven't seen the episode in many years

I think everyone's image of Fiz is now pretty much this.

That was in 2002, you're absolutely right. The difference there was that Fiz had to be helped onto the roof - there wasn't easy access like there has been since 2006/07 by the numerous steps, doorways and gantries that have suddenly appeared over the years.

You all know I like to find links to Corrie's history. The first factory rooftop showdown actually happened in 1962, when Christine Hardman threatened to kill herself by jumping off the roof of Elliston's Raincoat Factory.

The 2004 fire was rather small and didn't cause much damage. The big changes to the factory really just happened overnight without explanation in around 2005/06. I remember that the sewing area went from a poky room to a huge open-plan space, completely with stairs and a mezzanine.

Thanks KK!

Your vast knowledge of Corrie past is always helpful and interesting

My main memory of the 04' fire is Adam Rickitt emerging from the smoke with Janice in his arms

I've provided you with detailed explanations of the set along with photos to support what I have been trying to explain. You have chosen to ignore all of these and instead done nothing but put me down by claiming I am 'speaking a foreign language'. You admitted yourself that you haven't followed any of the links I have provided yet you still maintain that you hold the 'facts'. You then go on to accuse me of ruining your thread.

Lets face it reading is not one of your strong points is it? Not once have I said YOU were talking in a foreign language. I repeat again to be clear not once. I have repeatedly said that I must be as you are unable to follow anything I say.

The fact is the alley they ran out comes out facing the viaduct that is now supposedly the new garage. Yet you seem to just ignore that FACT to make your own points and insist you are right.

I don't know what to say to this. There really is no need for the tone you are using.

You are correct that the alley between the garage and the Kabin comes out facing the viaduct but that wasn't the point you were trying to make a few posts back. I still maintain that the viaduct did not appear in the chase/fight sequence that we were discussing.

Anyway, this is going absolutely nowhere. I'm sorry that you've felt the need to get so worked up over this and insult other FMs.

For whatever reason Dev's shop on the new backlot is still too small in comparison to the interior stage set.

When they were showing behind the scenes photographs of Carla mowing down Cathy they posted a video on Instagram and you could clearly see the fridges were painted onto the back wall haha.

Must admit it was great to see the action take place at the back of Websters' Autos. Don't very often get to see that area and when I paid a visit to the former Quay Street site the steps were chained off and there was a food van blocking the back of there.

They ran through the ally between the garage and the kabin,up the stairs and round the back.

One side is the viaduct with the new garage under one of the arches, just down from Nick's Bistro

Then they ran down the 'road' next to the brewery place.

Don't worry. I wasn't clear on the exact arrangement and you absolutely clarified it for me. They have played hard and fast with the set but not on this ocassion

I think KornerKabin was very clear in what they were saying and I understand how that scene played out now. I like looking at past Corrie pics and The pictures KornerKabin provided were very useful so thank you for that.

Now I just wish they would show past Corrie episodes again like they did when Granada plus was around. I think I got from about the late 70's to early 90's before it disappeared.
