Anyone else think Kylie's death is the incident Corrie needed?

Tonight I felt like it was back to its best, something we've rarely seen recently.

Hopefully it will continue now.

Quality episode tonight.

Brilliant episode - it flowed along nicely and even the other stories intertwinned with it very well.

It was the first episode in months where I didn't instinctively think of SORs or predict where things would lead up.

Good to see a mix of characters interacting, felt more of a community. Never thought I'd say this but I'm warming to the Nazirs, especially Yasmeen when she isn't squabbling with Sally. Hope there's more Roy and Maria scenes.

Agreed, most of the cast was utlised last night which was great to see, they haven't been using it all recently.

Thought the acting of David went from pure class on Friday to rather comical on Monday (especially in the chase).

The episode as a whole was much better though. Improvement made.

Friday's episodes were good. Last night was back to the usual standard.

The best scenes were with Maria imo. That is something I haven't said, maybe ever... but I completely understood how she felt. She wasn't best friends with her as she said but she worked with her everyday and was in complete shock.

The only half decent part of the episode was David breaking down in the salon which was very moving, the rest of the episode's were lame and badly written and acted, the Coronation Street which we come to expect week in and week out.

Why can't Coronation Street do thugs without making them comic style morons? I am sure you have got some Manc hard nuts up north, just not in camp Weatherfield.

Mondays episodes were excellent, the perfect follow up to Friday's drama & Stupid_Head I know I am biased but I agree the writing for Samia as Maria was perfect & it's the kind of scenes she excels in!! More of the same please Corrie!!
I REALLY didn't want to lose Kylie like that but if her death can be a springboard for a continued improvement in writing & quality in the show then at least something good has come out of it!!
